Can someone post up the general NHRA rules associated with Drag Racing that have to do with what to wear when you go drag racing, when a helmet is required, when a roll bar is needed, roll cage so on and so fourth.

Also, Can you put stickers on your racing helmet?

JMatt posted that somewhere on here some time ago. Particularly about the helmet requirements. Yes you can put stickers on your helmet... don't cover up the one that says it's certified.

Not sure what year that book is from, but it's very outdated.

Here's what most of us need to know:

13.99 or quicker: Helmet (full face is NOT required yet for slower speeds).
    Nitrous: Fire jacket required.

No other major rules until 11.499. At that point you need a TON of stuff. (And I don't know ANY SRT-8's that comply completely).

Sub 11.500 requires a roll bar (which is misleading - it's a main hoop, two rear down tubes, a crossbar, and a driver's side bar down to the driver's left foot.

Requires driveshaft loops, SFI certified balancer, trans shield, 5 point harness, etc.

Next rules at sub 10.000. My Camaro meets the sub 10.000 rules and is certified down to 8.500. At this point you better have a purpose built car. Need roll cage, and tons of other stuff. Fire pants, jacket, neck roll, gloves, full face helmet, 5-point harness. SFI certified trans shield, balancer, wheels, aftermarket axle, etc, etc, etc.

Dang it. You left out the helmet certifications they have to have that you included last time. Stevo's probably got a motorcycle helmet from when he was thinking about buying a bike.

That's cool. Somewhere along the line I didn't notice that the allow a rollbar to 10.00 now. Cool

    4.6 ROLL CAGE

Roll cage mandatory in cars running 10.99 (*6.99) or quicker, or any car exceeding 135 mph (217.2 km/h). Full bodied cars, with unaltered firewall, floor and body (from firewall rearward, wheeltubs permitted), running between 10.00 (*6.40) and 10.99 (*6.99) roll bar permitted in place of roll cage. Cars running between 7.50 (*4.50) and 9.99 (*6.39) must have chassis inspected every three-years by the ASN and have a serialised sticker affixed to cage before participation. Must conform to specs for body style used, as listed in General Regulations 4.11, 10.6.

I never said it was up to date, it was just a 3 second google search.... but it has the required equipment for certain pass times...i.e. helmet required at 13.99 or quicker, rollcage at 11.49...etc.

I'm guessing it's like those ones that go on the front pulley on a motor to dampen vibrations from a slightly unbalanced crank. This goes on the driveshaft.

Yes, but that version was so out of date that the time breaks are now wrong in multiple areas.
