The missing Scott (now back from vacation) organized a mini M&G around the corner here in San Jose today. I'll let Scott fill in with some narration. Sorry buddy, I forgot to ask how the vacation went? Also got the time wrong and got there late. My pics suck, I'm having a PC crisis and doing all this on a 7 year old 300mhz windows 98 machine. but it was a great time with new faces and a '70 Charger! (Scott, I hope you got names). Here's some of the pics.

Interior... The Bee was a long ways away -- camera just freaked out on the color.

We have a Bee! That's Christian setting off his alarm.

    That's Lou. That's Christian's Bee.

    Christian brought friends!

Christian brought more friends! it's a Bee, sorry about the pic.

    Scott, Hans, and Lou's Mags

New Mag, old Charger (leaving. Yikes!) Both Lou's -- you lucky dog you

Dave, is that a Charger or a Challenger? It looks like a Challenger to me but I'm no expert. That's a good variety of vehicles there....wish I could have been there!!

It's Scott's fault! He kept calling it a Charger.

By the way, Lou's got Vreds on that Mag. He said they stop real good, they take off real good, but... he only thinks they're ok in the corners. He said they feel like they're squirming around a bit going around a hard corner.

That silly Lou. I wonder what pressure he is running. Even if he's running around 32 psi, they still provide incredible cornering....thanks to the tread. It might feel like they roll a bit at that low of a tire pressure. But, they still don't give up at finding grip. They do need to be run a bit higher than the F1's though for optimum handling. Tell him to bump it up to around 36 psi and see if that helps!

That was a Challenger and guess I missed the memo. Granted I was busy in the tri/central valley area.

Heh, sorry Tam. It basically started out as a lunch with Scott and I just wanting to see Lou's BT bling to be able to handle it thinking about buying. I guess Lou's got quite a bit but I forgot to look at it... Actually some other guy, Erik, was supposed to come and didn't and somehow I thought he was the guy with the BT stuff, doh. Then we figured we'd try to find the mysterious black chsrt8 we've seen go by in the neighborhood and meet him (failed). Then I ran into Christian in SJ a short while ago and he mentioned he was looking to meet some srt8's in the area so Scott invited him. and the venue was this tiny little lot behind Togos. I was expecting about 3 or 4 cars. We thought about a broadcast but decided to see how the first one worked out and go from there. Next time we'll have to find a different venue and do a regular one.

No worries, I think I've abused my "parole" privileges for the week anyway. I was supposed to just go get my hair done and maybe wash the car today. Ended up taking six hours, since I went all out with the car wash and THEN drove to Tracy for Sonic.

But yeah, if its not too inconvenient, I'd be interested in the next such get together, if only to drool at the Challenger.

I'm baaaaaaaaaaaaaaack! (que to run and hide, lol!)

Ok, bunch of things. First off THANX to Dave for taking pix, I really dropped the ball in that area (hey, it was my first attempt at a m&g) and Dave was able to get some good shots of all the cars (cept MINE, we'll talk later Dave, lol!).

There were 8 of us and that's just about what was planned. ANYONE upset about not being invited (Tam, I'm talking to you) it's NOT MY FAULT!! BLAME DAVE!!! I suggested posting a thread on it a week ahead but he said NO we should keep it small and I believe he also said to be sure and "NOT invite Tamera" and who am I to contradict Mr. Wizzard, lol! J/k Tam!! Who loves ya!! :friends:

Couple things from the pix. First off that's a 1970 Challenger not a Charger, (where'd you get Charger Dave, I never called it a Charger?!?!) and YES, it is that beautiful (cept that one funky yellow pic, don't know what Dave was doing there). And for the record his name is BOB, not Lou, there was only one Lou with a black msrt8.

Info on the Chally ... as I said it's a 1970, he bought it in 89 and restored it in 90-91, been that way since. It's a 340 car but he upped it to a 360. Auto. Hemi Orange w/black interior. And he just put those wheels on it recently (dammit I forget the brand) but he got them as they were retro looking and fit the car well. And also for the record the car does look in person as good as it does in the pix, it's breathtakingly beautiful! Pure sex on wheels!! (and it sounds as good as it looks too!)

One last thing on Bob, he's my Mustang mechanic ... but don't tell anyone, lol! True. He's a Mopar guy through and through tho. Right now he's building up a retro-mod 70 Plymouth Cuda. Gonna be plum crazy purple and have an SRT 6.1L Hemi and tranny in it (he's already got it) and gonna be bad azz! He's a VERY COOL GUY, everyone was lucky to meet him.

Also, here's a run down on who's car is who's (whom's?!?!) in the pix going clockwise from the Yellow Bee:

    That's Christian's (srt8_superbee#961) and it's sweet!
The silver Charger is his friend's Antonio's, it's an SXT V-6 that actually sounded pretty damn good and yes, those are 22's on it.
    Then the 70 Chally.
The black Ram Bee is Christian's other friend Chris's (very nice interior on that thing).
Then Dave's (Quick's) MSRT-8 (very cool placement on that one gauge Dave, and don't worry, I won't tell).
Then coming up the other side is Lou's black MSRT-8 with KW V2's, Hotchkiss sways, Vreds and all kids of cool BT pieces. (not a member here yet but Dave and I pestered him so I'm sure soon he will be, lol!)
Then Hans's red MSRT8, all stock but don't worry, we won't hold that against you Hans, lol! (also not a member here but I'm working on rectifiying that)
And finally bringing up the rear is me, my red MSRT8 and you can check my sig for my mods. (a member here whether anyone likes it or not, lol!)

So that's that, thanks to all for showing and a big thanks to Mr. Wizzard for the pix, love ya buddy! Next time (if there is one, lol) we'll post up a thread and invite everyone, that's a promise!

LOL! Hurray for Scott! And I'm not that perturbed. Not sure I'll be making any of the meet and greets I'm invited to for a while. Baby's just too high maintenance and I'm too tired.

Sounds like a good group and yes I SOOOO need to see that Chally in person.

Not sure how I have missed this site until Scott pointed it out to me today (been around a few other sites over the years). So far looks like a great place to hang out and get/share info. I will post some pics from the meet when I get home tonight (although Dave's pics are hard to beat). It was fun to meet everyone! Very sweet looking rides. We for sure have to do this again soon. And I loved the Challenger! By the way, I was hoping that the Mopar CAI & Catback won't count mine as stock anymore :). Scott, thanks again for organizing this. -- Hans

Way to go Scott, looks like you all got a nice chance to talk shop and represent. And welcome aboard Hans and what is Loue or Christian? Anyways, pics aren't that bad! Except for the yellowed out one. And why for God's sake are you using a 300mhz computer Dave? I envisioned you running a nice setup. lol

I do have a nice setup. It just hasn't been available for about a week... Should be back soon. Also prompted me to order a loaded DELL XPS laptop (other one's a desktop). This one was replaced about 4 years ago and I try to get the kids to play games on it instead of the new one...(fail). I've been trying to get DashHawk installed on this one and can't get past the .NET Framework install

Yea. Actually the 3rd pic posted is a better shot even though my car is half cut off and way farther back, lol! Dave's great photo skills at work no doubt. Personally I think he did it on purpose, hahahahhahaa!

You made it here, awesome bro!! Oh geez man I'm sorry bout the stock comment, I KNOW you have the Mopar CAI and catback, stupid me, doh!! In fact, that was one thing we were gonna talk about huh, that funny sound you were having, dang it forgot all about that, sorry! And if you can post up your pix here for sure buddy! Pm Dave (Quick) if you have any probs/questions.

Thanks Tam, appreciate it, I'm still surprised everyone showed, lol! Don't worry bout not coming, it's a good 45-50 minute drive (one way!) from Dublin for only 2 hours of lunch m&g, those are precious hours when you got a little one at home (I remember those days well).

Thanks Milan. Yea Hans is here now and Christian already was (see his post in this thread) but Lou is a guy Dave and I are working on. Oh, and Dave's got a REAL good reason for having to use a crappy computer right now so don't pester him too much!!
