He is the plant manager at the Corvette assembly plant in Bowling Green, KY. I read that the car was brand new so I assume that it is probably not his personal car. Probably fixed it and sold it at auction.
i am with steve on this one...... i am all for shredding tires, but to do it on a car like that..... just does not make sense to me!!! go find a couple of snow tires, and an old vw bug and you can make just as much smoke........(yes, i speak from experience on this!!!!hehehehehe)
AAACKKKKkkkkkkKK! He was trying to pop the tires, so he either wasn't too smart or just didn't care. The fenders are fiberglass & the inner fenders are plastic (I assume) so starting a fire would be expected. I guess I respect (?) the Z06 too much to abuse one like that. To lock it in a pen and burn it until it pops is just inhumane to me, lol.
