I was at Vortech today and they were packaging HEMI kits at a rapid rate at 7am.

They also had a whole palette of V3 compressor parts ready to be assembled.

 

damn i want one. still under WWAARRRRAANNNTTTYY?

 

I believe that vortech is offering a warranty that covers the drivetrain for 3/36 from date of purchase of the car.

Have any of the lucky folks that already got the sc installed been to the dyno or track yet? Does Vortech have any rwhp#'s yet?

 

vortech has released 2 of my friends cars back to us and on their dyno(mustang dyno) stock was 320 after kit was 400 and the other was 323 and 410. We should be getting 2 more cars back next week.

 

Shouldn't the sc'd cars be more like 125hp more? Don't LX's usually put down around 380hp on other dynos? :thanks:

 

Vortech uses a Mustang dyno which is lower than a DynoJet. Stock SRT8s generally put down 360 on a dynojet.

Even with the Mustang numbers, that's still a 28% increase in power!

 

I understand, but the engine#'s were +125hp. Do you lose hp from the sc when dyno'd at the wheels? ie, if the sc does +125hp@ the crank then it only does +80hp@ the wheels?
