there was no malicious intent whatsoever. guess i'll just sell my charger and start over at the g8 forum. i never knew this was a SECRET!!!
my neighbor lady, the mailman, local sheriffs, pig farmers, joggers, fisherman, pretty much anyone i ever drive by, through, or around.
It was the pig farmers who called DSS and told them a below allowable pricing policy was being ignored. Damn them all!
The DSS shafts do not come with the ABS rings. And they are really no big deal to change over.If you ever decide to sell your car/shafts etc,you can switch them back.
Thanks for all the great feedback guys! I'll be posting up some new info about how this pricing will work, but we have you covered so keep signing up for the special!
Come one fellas! Ante up! Just think...you can buy a set of DR's and launch outta the hole like a real man! hahahaha.. Jason? Oh Jason? Calling SRT8bby! You are needed at the front! Please report to the front.
This group buy is a GO, so post up if you're in for a great deal! We can't advertise these lower than $2000, but think of it like free shipping plus an instant use $200 gift certificate to our store ... or something like that. Shoot me a PM for details!
So what kind of installation price are we talking about for these plus the ring swap? Who would be the best mechs to do this job, probably not a stealership right? More of a "rear/drivetrain" specialist?
I would only get it done at the dealer if you know and trust the technician. If he/she is a qualified technician, they should not have a problem doing this job for you. Although I do trust my service tech, I had mine installed at PPP anyway becuase I was having other work done. I did talk to the dealership and they told me that the book allowed the tech 6 hours to do the job (6 x $85 = $510). If he gets it done faster, he makes out if it takes longer he loses out. I think that it is probably a 2-4 hour job depending upon experience. I think that the key is that you want someone who you trust will not break the tone rings becuase you cannot buy them separately. (Although, some say that the 5.7 tone rings will work and those shafts are MUCH less expensive than the 6.1 shafts.)
