Well all I can say is HOLY SH?T!!!!! This 426 needed to go :nuke: and Steve took care of it. I will post the dyno sheets but basically I gained roughly 70hp and 70ftlbs through the curve. Being that we performed the tune on a eddie current Mustang all wheel drive dyno the numbers are far lower (12-15%) than on a DynoJet but as a comparison Dan Harman showed me that my Jeep was puttting out as much power to the wheels as the recently tested Nissan GT-R Skyline or Porsche 911 Turbo......I guess Dyno Steve elevated me into some good company!! The test drive and ride home were like night and day. The engine pulls smartly in any gear on the freeway and passing is effortless. The engine revs up to 6,100 RIGHT NOW and shifts immediatedly into 2nd gear!! Almost feels like the left side pulls up!! Of course track times will tell how much time the tune shaved off. I have NEVER seen any So Cal tuners hook up any sensors like he does.... and the "noise" listening device he hooks up to the engine.....you can hear every tick and tap the engine makes. All I can say is this is money well spent and if you have the opportunity to watch this guy at work you will know why he is the rave. He makes the tuners I have been around need to go back to school:bottom:!!!
Very happy to hear Steve....I'm glad I helped sway you to Steve because I KNEW he was the sh*t. VERY knowledgable Hemi tuner eh? I'm sure you also learned a lot. The Cali guys who bailed are going to be kicking themselves if they don't meet up with him and get tuned correctly with safety, reliability and smooth power in mind. Probably feels like a factory 426 now huh? Congrats.
Glad the Jeep is running the way it should Steve. Dynosteve has proven himself time and time again with more than quality tunes and Customer Service that is second to NONE!!!
Dynosteve Does Me!!!!! TMI  But since we're on the subject, I guess it felt pretty good eh? :friends: Congrats Steve, now get your ass out here and take me for a ride.
I don't know if you know this or not, but you haven't given me a ride in the Jeep since you put the 426 in it. So you BETTER take me now! I better get to drive it too!
LOL that sounds like a ghost story to me. You better meet up with me n drive mine so i can match your 8.1 lol.
Milan Thank you for cluing me in!!! Like I stated.....he is far far ahead of anything I have seen. Obviously he is working the closest with Diablo, has kept up with the latest methods and tools and avoided fallen to the wayside by taking his eye off the ball! Thanks again!
So true! and the fact that he will keep tweaking it until you are satisfied and then retweak for future mods. I am very happy your jeep is up and running correctly now, now it's time to go have some fun and let her eat!!!!!!!
Steve, Congrats on getting your Jeep dialed in. Rumor has it Steve is amazing.:worthy: Im assuming these gains were a combination of new HHP Camshaft, your new stall converter and Steve's New tune? These are gains over and above your Comp 268 tunes/dyno donr at GSM? Also was your tune done using NOTHING more the "Diablo CMR Software" Or is there more software that only Steve has that allow tweaks to parameters that are not available in the CMR? Im just trying to put this into perspective. looking forward to hearing track results.
This IS a TRUE statment. Steve is a fricken GENIOUS with his tools. OMFG. My car has been Steverized...
Trojan Yes he is very good. You assume incorrectly however.....the gains were based on three back to back initial basline pulls conducted yesterday at Harmanmotives Mustang Dyno.....then he tuned it a pull at a time, back to back to get a picture of the engine under heat stress. No tricks icing the manifold or allowing it to cool with fans blowing on it for 45 minutes as I have observed as standard practice, just to fool the less experienced into believing that they got some huge gain. Also to clarify, my engine had NEVER been tuned or dynoed in its first configuration with the 268 cam. As you may or may not remember, that is why I had you guys do the cam swap out, so to attempt to get the rough idle out of it and get it to run smoother with the HHP cam. The original place could not figure it out and only made it worse! Steve uses CMR software but spends the time to look at other factors beside fuel and timing. I hope this helps.
Rack up anothe rwin for RDP and its customers. Great hearing some more great news and glad you are happy with it.
I have never seen a man so in to his field. He loves it. He did more than 8 pulls on my car with only a CAI and cat-backs, and made constant changes with the CMR software. Then he took my car on a road test and made more changes after that by what he heard. I really hate the fact that it was a Mustang dyno, 'cause my only comparison was to a DynoJet. Nobody wants to post Mustang numbers......lol. Actually I wouldn't care 'cause it is the gain and not the peak I should be interested in. I really liked the way the HP and Torque numbers are smoothed out AND increased across the whole RPM range. Not to even mention the difference in shifting.
Great to hear about the results. I figured you would have called me going "Neener, Neener, Neener". Now take me for a drive focker!
