Plastic plug, and after the glue is set up, trim up the inside. I used the Devcon on a plastic ram intake I built a couple years ago. And even after 30K + miles, the stuff never let go.

Any decent hardware store. Ace has a great selection and different styles. I think even Depot now carries all kinds of wacked out shit. And both of them carry the Devcon products. Make sure you prep the plastic around the patch, scuff it good and clean it with alcohol or carb cleaner before setting the plug. Depending on how convex the tube is, you may wanna heat the plug up with a hair dryer or something and form it to the tube first.

Look at Cam going all high tech. I say slap a pool raft patch over the hole and then wrap it with duct tape. Just make sure the duct tape color matches your intake. We wouldn't want the repair to be gaudy.
