Steve, thanks again for tuning my car on Friday night. This guy comes to Columbus fresh after working all night long on a problem torque converter and proceeds to tune my car as soon as he gets to town. To top it off, he finishes tuning the car (in a hotel parking lot) in a nasty thunderstorm/monsoon that lasted for hours.

The customer service appears to be beyond compare to me. Not only did he personally take time out of his working (the dude gets more phone calls and people wanting his attention than anyone I have ever seen) and racing on Saturday and Sunday to look at a few things for me. He also put up with all of my stupid questions and took the time to explain stuff to me.

The best part, I ran a personal best (12.72) in pretty high DA (probably over 2000) when my previous best ET was in DA around zero. I have no modifcations to my motor. It was a real good comparative competitive ET for the event, weather and my mod level. I think that I may have a TC issue that might be holding me back from even better numbers. After the tune, my car is different. The main thing that I notice is the shifts (up and down) are different, like crisper. It is more fun to drive than it was before. It feels like the throttle is more responsive too. I can break the wheels loose in situations where I could not before. Anyway, for me the proof is in the ET and the way he treated me as a customer.

Good to hear Sam. I pretty much agree with everything there in terms of throttle response, shifting lunges the car forward and breaking traction is much easier lol. Steve's a good guy and a hard worker. He likes to make the customer happy for sure....he asked me if I was satisfied when he was finished. Question....what torque converter are you using and I'm assuming you were on street tires as well..?

Nice to see you did the half shafts/suspension before you got carried away with engine mods. It always better to get the chassis prepared for the power.
    Nice times too...

I gotta +1 that post. Though Steve didn't do anything to my truck, I did see his work ethic in person:
    - Friday night, he was working with customers until well past midnight.
    - Saturday, he was a black and orange blur between customer vehicles and the uber-GC.
    - My guess would be that he did much of the same on Sunday.

He was even cool enough to do the "Last of the V8's!" line for me.

    (Sam- is your plate "PUGZLY"?)

I hear you about the crappy air Ron. I gotta have something to bitch about though. Wish we all had that East coast DA, lol.

PI 2800. Are you aware of any issues with that TC? I have a slight bog or a flat spot at low-mid RPM in first gear just after launch which is not going away with tuning. I also have a whine or whistling sound at the start of WOT that may be the TC. At first, I did not think any of this was being cause by the TC but now I am wondering.

Yes, I was on street tires. I have the 20" Nitto DRs but I have used them at National Trails before and I have better 60' times with the F1's. I need to get the 17" wheels and some MT or M&H DRs.
