so i ordered an item from a certain company (non vehicle related). i checked my bank account today and they billed me twice for the same thing. no biggie, i email them. then i check the initial email that i got from them, the one that says "item was shipped" and notice something. it says it was shipped via ups ground however the link and tracking # they provide are both usps. i tried putting the trackin # in using the usps website and keep getting an error screen (internet related, not usps related). so i figured id give it a shot with ups. nope, not something they shipped. now im like wtf. i do a little research on the internet and find this site called pissedoffconsumer.com. i put their name in and holy crap these guys are awful. turns out so many people have had numerous problems with them, to the point almost all of them have contacted the BBB. they have 162 complaints about them to the BBB as well as an F rating with the BBB. now im scared. what can i do to protect myself? im afraid ill be out $500 with no item. anybody got any suggestions here?
prep the lube..... And make complaint #163 ready..... Oh....and tell your bank. Call it fraudulent charges. See what they can do.
i used a debit card and the charges are still pending. im going to wait a week to see if they get here (mail usually takes about 5 days to get here) if not then i think ill do that. thanks that was a good suggestion. i dont wanna have to get a lawyer yet since its only a matter of small money but i just dont wanna get taken.
if you used a card you can see about contacting your bank and explaining to them....get it canceled before you take it too hard lol
Wow, rising gas prices sure have driven up the cost of double-headed anal dildos... On a serious note. Contact your bank. Stop payment. Ask to speak with a bank rep that handles these issues. Bad mouth this company on the BBB and that other site... but be factual. If they take your money, contact your local BBB (back home) and ask for advice on where to go from there. All else fails... kidnappings have an uncanny ability to make people see things your way.
i dont want to have the payment stopped yet and then recieve the item, then i could be the one in trouble. i MAY or MAY NOT have resorted to kidnapping somebody before so if it gets that far, i may or may not already have the wherewithall. i can neither confirm nor deny anything but i may or may not have knowledge of a female scam artist ending up hog tied naked on the side of the road about 30miles from her house in houston....
yes, its them. i read some nightmare stories about them. shoulda done my homework first i suppose. do you or any of your guys have any experience with them?
Markus let me know where and when, im in for a seek and destroy mission, kill em all. Ive had a bad week.
Mark, same shit happened to me through Paypal and I got charged twice. Paypal didn't answer my damn emails so I started to freak out a bit and became the Incredible Hulk. I called the bank and they brought me back down lol...they said they could handle it and stop payment...in fact, even if payment went through, they could send a return payment or something like that...I also called Paypal and got through and they reversed the charge so I didn't have to go through the bank after all.. Call your bank NOW (24hr line if at all possible given your location) and get them to take note of this so that they are aware. One thing is, the product 'may' be ready to ship but hasn't been picked up yet for delivery...it generated a tracking number but is not in transit. That's happened to me too hehehe.
I haven't! I've only checked out their website. They are under the GSA contract. I would do what Jason mentioned and continue to try to contact them. They would probably have their GSA contract stripped if they were that screwed up!
you can always dispute the charges before they actually hit your card. just call the bank ahead of time.
roger that agent x, standby for further instructions. we all know your an advanced delusional paranoid psychzophrenic with steroid induced narcassistic rage so we would come to expect this from you my little milano cookie! thats whats making me wonder.....people said they have gone as writing theyre states attorney general as well as congressman and such and one guy said he's trying to use his DoD contacts to try and get their GSA revoked. this could all be the same person or just a couple extremely but hurt people i dunno. but an f rating with the BBB with 162 complaints really makes me worry. yes, i wrote the bank and said "cancel this shiite nizzle"
DEW it marky.... you dont have to put in the stop payment request...just tell them the situation so they have a record of it early in the process....then if the need arises....they can drop the hammer on them... thats what they will do anyway....they will probably cease the payment until you receive your goods....at which time they will process it and everyones happy
That sucks Markus sorry to hear about that. Ya if you call you credit card company or bank tell them you paid for the purchase and haven't recieved the item. Keep all you emails with the company as proof.
