This thread is a bit confusing, particularly since 06 is different than other years. For tail/turn, (lower bulb) used these with applicable 6 ohm resistor..one each side. They stop the fast flash. Light Tower II 20LED wide angles. 3157 bulbs. http://autolumination.com/3157_3156.htm For stop (upper) used the Brakers. As shown they flash and then stay bright. Scroll way down to see them. They are plug and play. No resistors/load equalizers. Remember, on 06's bulb set up is different. Used load equalizers for turns as below. Just looked and it looks like selling price is $3.00 less each than ebay ones. (provided that $9.99 is for each one). Can't tell how many you get for that price. So for an 06 will the brakers(stroke inducers) work or will I have to wire in the resistors and run regular LED bulbs?
On the 06. Tail/stop is plug and play. Remove OEM bulb, plug in tower Braker and go. If if does not light, remove and reverse polarity (spin it 180 degrees). Bulb goes on as taillight when lights are on, flashes and then remains on as a brake light when pedal applied. Scroll down and see the little picture demo in link above. Resistor is only needed on tail/turn to correct fast flash/flicker as indicated by your dash indicator and bulb flashing at a rapid rate when turn signal is on. You know like when you have a bulb burned out on some OEM systems. Hope this helps. If you like, you can also email Chris at autolumination. What makes the braker different from other LED bulbs? Besides the flashing obviously. Why should it work without a resistors when others don't? thanks for the help teda!
I seem to have a problem!!! Every time I put an LED bulb in the brake light and step on the brake it blows the brake light fuse(f27). As soon as I put a "regular" bulb in everything is fine. Any ideas on why this might happen? I have no idea!!
