What a day. Kevan put me up to is so i had to show him up but i over did it. I just came in a little to hot!
umm, yeah. only in ohio. i bet the were a coulple of coors light involved.. "i came in a little hot" lol
YIKES!!! Damn that Kevan. Always instigating things. lol Damage doesn't look too bad. As long as you are ok, the Bee can be repaired. Sorry for the mishap.
maybe it is the lack of rubber marks from coming in hot? Or the fact that there is no debree around the truck? lol
or maybe the fact the front bumper looks way to good to have been hit!!! lol or maybe the fact the trees are in perfect condition!!! lol
ok ok you got us. the front bumper is not way to good to be hit because it was on the truck when i hit another car last year. but it was taken off and i parked there so we could use the tree to pull the dent out of the bumper before the new cover goes on. The new cover is because i got hit by some lady but she did damage to the cover i did the damage to the bumper.
Haha, now that sounds like Ohio. I've straightened a few bumpers that way. Big ole chain and a tree or telephone pole. Matter of fact, one time it was the SAME pole for both operations. Bend in, bend out. Had an old Suburban with the industrial strength steel bumpers on it. Small carry out store right across the road from my house. Buddy and me on the way home from work stop there for a six pack and to hang out for a bit. Nose in to the carry out drive, get beer, go to back across road into driveway... couldn't see the traffic coming. Figured it'd be easier to gun it than to pull back into the carry out. Missed. Slammed into the pole going about 20 in reverse. Beef jerky went from the dash all the way to the rear door (no beer bottles were broken). So we drank beer while pulling the bumper back out. Couple of pulls and it looked just like they did it downtown.
The first pic is obviously photoshopped. I think he did that for insurance reasons. Here's the REAL picture: :tropicalwind: This is some serious redneck engineering: (Keith wanted to give the Two Thumbs Up Seal Of Approval.....but simply couldn't.) My only excuse is that my neighbor is from West Virginia. Truth is, we're cheap bastards and didn't want to buy a new impact bar. LOL It actually worked pretty well....UNTIL.... Yep- killed a 4000 lb. motorcycle strap ratchet! Folded steel means you're doing a good job. The truck didn't move during the process. We started by using the ratchet on the strap (with Visegrips...heh heh), then moved on to me standing on a pair of straps, and bouncing up and down. LOL We eventually got about 90% of the dent out, then the typhoon came. Here's a sneak peek at what Keith's new fascia will look like: It's gonna be nice....
