Not the prettiest execution, but I wanted to see if making a sheet metal shield would help keep my IATs lower. It worked. I sealed the BWoody from engine heat in the compartment and below to avoid hot radiator air from contaminating the air charge. I also ditched the brake duct to allow a bigger gulp of air to make it to the filter. Discuss.

Dont look pretty but it works like you said and thats all that matters, nice work Patrick.

I need to order my Bwoody CAI and get it ghost flamed along with my valve covers for some engine bling. I may be getting the MDS coil packs just because there red! And to improve spark etc ofcourse :)

    Thanks,

I'd like to see a plastic cover that isolates it from the engine compartment..........BWoody did you hear that!!!!

Looks great Patrick, What kind of results have you seen so far ? I have been Datalogging my vehicle here in Montana because they have only crappy 91 octane. I have noticed that with 30-45 degree mornings, Im still seeing IAT temps of 5-7 degrees higher than outside temps. On a 70 degree afternoon, I see even higher temps 10+, and this is cruising at 75-90 MPH(Gotta love the 75MPH limit)

    Excellent work

Patrick another thing to consider it going to an open bottom filter, I found one at Amsoil and its a dry filter which is an even bigger plus
