I just ordered my Code3 supercharger pulley. http://shop.code3performance.com/product.sc?categoryId=5&productId=4 Review coming soon.... :thumb2:
600 hundred bucks for a pulley??!?!?! That thing better be gods gift to pullies for that price... I got a whole new turbo for that...
At one point, a pulley package was around $1500. This is the only setup under $1000 now. Mercedes tuners aren't cheap. :help::stars:
We use to only have Renntech and Evosport at $2000 for a pulley and about $3200 for a pulley and a tune. That was some outragous prices!!
Didn't a merc guy have a problem shredding his belt? Is cheap though and seems to compare with a 178mm pulley, but both together should be a good combo. Add that with a needswings intake and should be low 12's for sure.
Alright Tulsa, where's the review? I'm on the fence on weither to get the ASP 178 Pulley, or the Code3.
Review? I'm out of state right now, but I will write my review as soon as I get 100 miles or so on the pulley.
I have had my Code 3 on for a few weeks. The SRT6 in not my daily driver so I don't have much time in it but I did drop over .3 in the 1/4 mile (12.7 best run on street tires) with it being 30 degrees hotter than my baseline run pre pulley. Also, traction has become an issue, but over all great bang for the buck! Car is pushing 17lbs of boost with the Code 3!
In this application, the pulley is smaller than stock therefore it is spinning at a faster rate and creating more boost.
The supercharger pulley is a new item. Until it hit the market a month ago, all we could do was change out the crank pulley for a big size, 178, 181 or 185mm. Stock is about 155mm. The supercharger pulley is a bit smaller than the stock pulley and it creates boost between the 178 and 181 crank pulleys. It's also a lot cheaper to purchase, about $600 compared to $900-$1200.
