I know how that is. Motegi got really sick this past week, vet bill was huge and he has to go back to the vet next week to make sure he is getting better. He has gotten most of his energy back now though. So that is a good sign.

Jesus/Cheryl make sure you get your huskies x-rayed regularly. My Husky of 10 years died a month ago because of an tumor on his heart and liver. The vet said if we had x-rayed regularly they could have caught it earlier and saved his life potentially, and because they are good sized dogs they get it easier for some reason. I don't want you guys to make the same mistakes I did by not doing that and go through what I did when he died, it's not something I'd want for anyone, losing him was one of the worst things that happened to me :(

I agree 100% with Bryan. My dog Lexi was put to sleep last year because of a tumor near her stomach, not allowing her to eat. If she had an x-ray months before, maybe something could've been done.
Sucks, though, cause x-rays aren't cheap. Maybe there is pet insurance that we can buy that can help lesseen the cost of services like x-rays.

Thank you for the advice and suggestion Bryan. Sorry for the loss and what you went through. I've delt with the pain you have. The only problem with X-raying regularly is its really costly. Between blood work and everything this past Friday the vet bill cost us a few dollars shy of $400. They wanted to X-ray but it would have been close to $300 for that. So we almost had a $700-800 vet bill. If we were to have to have both dogs X-rayed regularly it would be costing us about $600.

We do love our dogs so Cheryl and I have discussed about getting pet insurance, as these are costly costs indeed.

I understand. Do whatever you can, I figured I'd give the heads up. I'd spend all my paychecks on getting xrays and operations for my dog if I could bring him back and healthy. Unfortunately that's not an option. I never realized what I had until it was gone. But that's me. Good luck with your dogs and I wish you the best.

hey guys, kind of new to the forums, haven't posted much due to time of posting everywhere else. I was wondering who might be going to this event in Bradenton on the 13th. Seems pretty sweet and I'm sure there'd be some good heads-up racing.

If you're interested in going, I'll be there and possibly with some other people. I'll be hte only one there with a 6 roadster

I'm also trying to find some people to chill with on the weekends in the Bradenton/SRQ area. I guess consider this my formal introduction.

    Few pics of the ride

Thanks Bryan! I am going to see about having x-rays done once a year for Motegi and Max.
