haha, i hope my wife is this funny rick. good on ya.

mrs bud, im sure he has to deal with a ton of shit on your side too.

    1) hair in the sink, tub, toilet and soap.

    2) shopping for useless shit, 200 different purses, 200 diff eyeliners, 200 diff lipgloss, bras, underwear, etc....we prefer our women go commando.

    3) inability to realize that money comes and goes. saving it will only make you a rich dead man. live life while you have it.

    4) shit, i could go on and on. lol

Oh man Rick! You've got a feisty one....lol...sweet. Funny as hell too.

I think this should be a separate thread without crapping in Ricks again. The lectures we get are all to familiar to me...it's about breaking them down and getting to them when they're in good moods. With a 2 year old and a newborn, lack of sleep and 3x (yes 3x) the degree of shit that needs to be done....it can get hairy more than happy lol...Good luck Rick...I think more of a mid-range cam sounds like it may meet your needs best..since you're not really into drag racing through the full quarter mile.

hahahaha....it would be a GREAT pipe dream if we had wives that would say something like "oh, sure honey....whatever makes you happy! I'm just glad you've found something your passionate about....you only live once, how about another beer?" LOL

LMAO! I think I need to print off a copy and hang it outside! Mrs. Bud is A LOT like our Chihuahua Don Juan Diego.....all bark, no bite!!! hehe

BTW....I've some cam questions for you:

Can I get a mid range cam and still get that good lope we ALL love? Is that even related? I'm "leaning" towards the HHP Stage II package minus the torque converter but want to talk to Josh about a custom cam.

I'll tell ya this about HHP's cams. The stage I that I have really doesn't lope at all - at least what you expect a bigger cam would lope like. If the idle drops below 700 rpms you can hear it a little, but again noone who hears my car says hey, you got a cam in it. The Stage II will lope some at lower rpms, but again it doesn't sound real nasty. The biggest part of this is HHP's cams have a higher LSA(117 I believe for both the stage I and II). This is the reason they don't lope that much. I believe they're cams have a higher LSA for idle and drivability. Now the stroker cam I've heard in the 426's sounds pretty BAD. If a nasty sounding loping cam is want you want then you might want to look at someone elses cams. On the other hand HHP's cams make more top-end power than the others.

Thanks Steve. I won't sacrifice power for lope. But, I don't care about high end (peak) power either. I want something mid range that doesn't sacrifice down low. Again, I NOT trying to build a drag car, but more or a road racing car that I can also tear up some tires on the street with. I've read too many posts of dudes spending 5-8k on H/C/I combos and being less than satisfied....with the exception of HHP.

I hear ya Rick...I'd like to have a really nasty sounding cam, but I'm not sure how well the car is going to idle and if its going to make alot of HP. The HHP Stage II has been proven to be the fastest set-up right know. The next time I'm at HHP and they have a stage II car there I'm going to see if Josh will take me out in it to get a better feal for this package. I'm also going to see if he can drop the idle down a bit and see how it sounds at about 675-700 rpms with the stage II cam - I'm guessing its going to sound pretty good there.

I've heard the soundclip of SHR(Southern Hodrods) cam they have and it sounds real nasty...God I love the sound of a real nasty cam!!!!!!!!

Thanks again Steve....I hope I didn't mislead you in my response where I "mistakingly" reversed my thoughts in saying "I wouldn't sacrifice lope for power"....I meant the opposite. hehe
