Ok, it's a new name on a cam profile we've been doing for a while but this grind is a good one. Some of the first results I got back from this grind was an SRT jeep with Inertia heads, long tubes and this cam on a 114 LSA and he ran 12.2 @ 112.5 which I'm not sure but may be a stock block NA jeep record. Then this cam went into an SRT Bee and made 409 HP cam only. This cam has been a stron performer on everything it's gone in from the 5.7 quad cab truck to the SRT http://www.livernoismotorsports.com/tabs.phtml?t=Videos
Yeh, I haven't said anything about it on the forums because hes not a forum guy so he wasn't real worried about keeping the slip since he want's an 11's slip from it. But at my urging he was looking for the time slip and couldn't find it. He told me he'd go get some new time slips to put up though He did say it beats his wifes C6 vette and thats a point of contention.
Medic, Eh, Careful Wade he may be able to take you up on that. There $385 plus $25 shipping. I've actually been selling this grind for about 7 months but just recently put a name on it.
EDIT: Saw it at the end of the video. Thanks Stu. Any torque numbers or graphs from that SRT Bee dyno?
Wow very impressive for a heads/cam jeep. Stu, what kind of cam would you recommend for the jeep that sounds wicked? Something similar to this. http://s182.photobucket.com/albums/x281/PPP-Tech/?action=view¤t=CIMG9970.flv
The biggest problem with getting a choppy/lopey cam is it's almost impossible to do without throwing the P0300 code and also lopey cams have allot of overlap and that will normally hurt low end torque which is what you want in a jeep since you can hook it up. You could try something like a spartan on a 112 LSA and then turn the idle down. The 113 or 114 may run a bit harder though but I don't think the 112 would be too off.
Sorry about that I typed up a reply and I must have hit a key wrong or someting. essentially, with the valve to piston limits on the SRT it's real tough to get a cam that will have any chop or lope and still pull your hat of your head coming out of the hole. This is becaus on anything approaching about a 218 intake lobe you have to start retarding the cam for clearance and it really hurts bottom end power. You could go to a small lobe like a 212 or 214 and then run a real tight LSA to get the overlap to get the lope but I'm pretty sure your top end would suffer. Thats my opinion anyways but I haven't tried it so I could be wrong. Carlos, the spartan works fine with stock SRT springs. It also seems to work fine with MDS for the 5.7 cars.
Gotcha, so in your opinion what is the best overall cam for the jeep that will make the most power over a broad range? Looking for the best 1/4 mile cam:future:
Actually I'm from Colorado but live in TX. The spartan on a 113 is looking pretty good for the SRT Jeep. The 12.20 guy had a 114 Spartan but I think the 113 will be a bit stronger in the mid range.
