What if a person were to run the Extreme 2 tune all the time? Is that going to be too much boost for the truck to handle for everyday driving?

What is the boost at with the various tunes?

Not sure what the boost is set to, but suppose I could find out...
The 160hp extreme tune is prolly a bit much for daily driving, as far as the tranny is concerned, but only time will tell....

the 6.4s turned out to be a big let down.

The 6.0s with same tuning etc, will smoke em.

some 6.4s have set things on fire with the stupid exhaust re-burn system.

A stock 6.4 will smoke a stock 6.0 thats for sure. And the 6.4 is a lot quieter, which is one of the reasons I bought it. The 6.0 is in the older trucks which are ugly and have interiors from 1993. Another reason why I chose the 08.

I drove every type you could drive....I hate Fords, and the 6.4 is what I chose

SCT says with their extreme tune they ran a 14.67 with a 6.4 250, im not really concerned about the speed, I have a 12 second Jeep to take care of that thrill! :good:

You have only had this tuner out for a few weeks right? I ordered one today so I will be sure to let you know what I think of the beast. Just be sure to let me know of anything you hear....such as updates you are working on...

I may have some custom tunes for 200 rwhp, but they will put the truck into regen in about a 1/4 mile...lemme know if you want to play....

    Thanks

What if you do a DPF delete does that fool the truck and not allow it to regen?

No, it causes limp mode, and it wont regen, cause it wont run!!

This is a tricky area, as the EPA is cracking down, hard on all of this stuff.
We've actually removed any OBDII controls from alot of our other tools, simply to avoid the massive fines they have been talking about (up to $10,000 per unit sold), so I doubt we'll be offering DPF deletes any time soon.

    Thanks
    Mike

Interesting, what is SCT doing with their DPF delete software then? Is that just a load of shit?

They may very well be offering it, not sure, but if they are, they'll either be forced to stop, or will pay dearly....
