Well I am trying to convince a buddy of mine to join up as a vendor for tinting tails, etc.. He has done a few SRT8 Jeeps for some members and so far the quality has been excellent. He is doing mine as we speak so I am riding around with Skyes tinted tails for now. I had no idea the process that it takes to do this so here is a little tail tinting 101 I'm sure Daneil can add to it.

Preping the tails with 1000 grit sandpaper (I think that grit # is right?)
Then taping off the reverse light area that I did not want tinted

Then cleaning the area before painting

Then using some sort of cheese cloth that is sticky to remove any contaminants

Then apply some paint adhesion promotor
    [IMG]

    Now your ready to paint
I went with 3 coats of tint

Then peel and remove tape to prepare for 3-4 coats of clear

This is the booth he used all extra spray was sucked up into some vents but it still stunk to me

Thanks for the write up Wade. All I have to do is sand and buff yours and they will be done. I wouldn't mind looking in to becoming a sponsor of the site, I would just want to see what the demand was for tinted tails first. I am also the guy that did the CeramiClear on wades front end, and Skye is dropping is Jeep off on Thursday to get his front redone also if everything goes right. Im new to the site and LOVE WADES JEEP! He even let me drive it! Shhh... dont tell. So please don't bash me too bad for driving an SS. I already told Wade that I was buying my girl a SRT8 Jeep. So ill join the SRT family one of these days.

    Those look great.
I can't wait to get my Jeep back from you Daniel.
I really hope you can get those swirls and scratches out, I'm going to order the side moldings from marcel and hopefully I'll have them in time for you to install them.

    for everyones knowledge, daniel is:
painting the W of my headlights
fixing rock chips and spraying caramiclear on front
    installing my tinted tails
buffing the whole jeep to remove some scratches and swirls (its black)
repainting my back bumper (I backed into something)
painting my front and rear chrome black

and, he gave me a great price...
I know he would be a well accepted vendor here.

I'm a little sick, but I know it will be for the best. Keep up the great work Daniel.
And, I'm trying to get ahold of marcel to order a set of black door moldings. If I do, I will get them shipped to you for install.

    Wade, feel free bro.
