For some time my trans has been performing strangely. I will launch......it will spin the tires hard and feels like its going fly.......then it lays over. It is because the trans is immediately hitting 2nd!!! Almost as if to stop the the wheel spin, like traction control. I know there are not alot of 426 Jeeps but has anyone else experienced this as well???
I wish BJBs only went to 2nd.. We have been hitting limp mode on his which goes straight to 3rd gear and max of 5400RPMs.. positive its 2nd?
Yes......I'm looking straight down and can see the shift indicator and at least it reflects its 2nd. Wow.....now I dont feel like the lone ranger.
This didnt start happening until until recently. It was working normally.......maybe due to higher hp/tq out of the hole???
I had this problem with my former SRT8 Charger when i got a TSB flash on the TCM....couldnt downshift into first above 25MPH and if I let off just a tad while the tires were spinning in first it would grab 2nd gear..
No it's not the TCM, it's the PCM that is setting the values for the TCM. Welcome to the world of Diablo. Steve, try this if you can get Josh to do it (LOL BTW). See if you can capture your BnG torque management settings with your Diablo and have him apply it to you tune.
I was thinking the same thing. It started after the BnG flash.......I thought it had to be the T/M values. Hey are you going to Fontana SAT/SUN??

First off my 20th anny is Wednesday and I have this little feeling that if I take off to go play with the ride, I'll wake up a Eunuch. :help: But we'll see how she feels about it later this week. I also just got the ride back on the road two nights ago after being down for 7 weeks, so tuning is a must now with the new combo. But I digress, here bud. To follow up, I spoke to Joe at Pro Torque and he is sending me a "tighter" converter. It seems that this 3200rpm converter flashes past 3200....actually runs up to 4000 like right now. Along with massive wheel spin the T/M must be thinking this thing is out of control. I still think it could be tuned out but they dont how at this time. The guys at ProTorque have been real helpful, after the install we will see what happens!

Yeah Steve, My 2800 stalls to like 3k. I dont think theres anything in CMR to tune this out. Get the lower stall I bet your shifting issues go away. :grin:
An update about your PCM. Luiz had a B&G flash and CMR is not able to Flash past some of Dave's Tables especially in Trq Mngmt. Fought it for two hours today and had to put in a "stock" PCM then write my tune over it. Problem solved. There are tables that CMR does not see that Dave's proprietary software does see. Case and Point, get a new PCM just like HHP had to do.
