Reply Sheriff Joe is my kind of Sheriff. Too bad their aren't more like him. He is truly one of a kind and could care less about the ACLU. The Maricopa County residents should be proud and thankful that they have a Sheriff like him. I would also be willing to bet that he backs up his employees if needed. Rich
He surely would get my vote! Someone has to treat the criminals like criminals!!! My sister's son graduated, about 9 months ago from prison gaurd training and in his first month was gaurding "SON OF SAM". HOW IRONIC!
my uncle-in-law spent 20 years with the son of sam before he retired from his prison behavioral officer duty. i wasnt aware David Berkowitz was anywhere near you guys in carolina now. i thought he was still at attica. my uncle would play chess with him almost everyday. he told me the guy was one of the most well behaved men he ever met while working that field.
Sheriff Joe also makes the inmates cut their hair off the colar, and in his first year he installed a neon "vacancy" sighn obove the jail, untill he was made to take it down due to county laws about neon sighnage being a distraction to motorists. :usflag:
i read this somewhere else before but its always refreshing to read it again and again. i love what he said about democratic lectures being what got most of the inmates there in the first place.
We need about 10000 clones of this guy spread out throughout the 50 states. A true American bad ass, and you can't help but love him...
