There's a thread there? All I saw were a ton of ads. No offense, but I think the guys are going to have a tough time with the event. 1. Location. Atlanta is not very centralized. The tracks are great, but unfortunately the location of them is "southeast" and not "central". 2. Dates. Racing in the dead of summer is rough on vehicles. Race them in the hotter temps of the south and it's even worse. Not pleasant for the owners or spectators either. If I hear "105", it better be my average lap speed. :grin:
HAHAHA...sorry. You were probably viewing the thread as a guest. I don't see all those ads. This event is in it's 4th or 5th year(I think). I've never been to one. Last year it was Memphis, I think it's been to Kansas also in prior years. It's a bit of a new format this year. From what I hear, the organizers have lost a lot of money in the last couple of years. I figure, seeing as this one is basically in my back yard, I've got to go check it out.
If they continue to move the event around, they'll continue to shell out thousands of dollars and attendance will remain about the same. I speak from experience. For the last 9 years I've been producing the world's largest guitar-based charity event. We held it in Vegas one year....$7K out of our pockets (won't do that again...heh heh). We've since held it in Orlando each year, and have been in the black ever since the 2nd year there. Not bad if I do say so myself. :grin:

Bump...'cause I'd really like to run the road course, an we still need like 6 more people to make it happen.
The road course event has been opened up to non-SRT/Dodge people, 'cause there are only 5 people willing to attend... I can't believe the SRT community is only good for 5 people. :censored:
Less than a week, until the road course gets cancelled...nobody wants to drive their car like it was meant to be driven?
