didnt have time today...just put the stockers back... ill see what Marcel says tomorrow...if not i am hoping that big T can fix it lol
Hey Steve. I just joined the forum and saw your post. I was looking for HID conversion kit for my DC SRT8 a while ago and read in a few forums that in addition to balast you'll also need to use a special circuit/relay to 'fool' the car computer so that the computer won't think the bulb is burnt out. HID bulbs use less wattage than Hallogen so the computer thinks the bulb is burnt out and goes through diagnostic mode. This somehow causes the HID to fliker or just turn off. I think another thing this mechanism does is to route the power directly from the battery to the balast, instead of from the original socket. One other thing would be to make sure the balast mechanism is shielded from the chasey. Sometimes electric field interferences or accidental grounding messes up the balast. Check out this site for a more detail explanation: http://faqlight.carpassion.info/headlamp-harness.html Not sure if these will solve your problem but though to share it. Good luck bro. Frank
Stevo does not need any of this. I only use 55w ballasts and there is no fooling needed to be done because of it. Marcel
I think one day when i get some time I am going to take a ride down to Tony and have him look at them...i have reached my limit of automotive headlight installation knowledge hahahaha
yeah...thast how all the other lights worked...the million dollar question is why DIDNT these work... i believe its something with my truck...its the only explanation
ha its the weirdest thing your truck just doesnt like them. Whats weird though is how their perfect on one side.
