The Little Evo that Couldn't - G.S. - (Queue: Nursery Rhyme Music) There once was an import who thought it was tough With an intercooler, exhaust and stuff He said he would pull the caliber by more than 1 or 2 cars, he is not sure He was very confident and was sure he would win Thinking he can beat my car like smashed piece of tin We then are driving down the street and side by side we meet He down shifts and passes me by And now its time to show this guy That my wagon has more balls And send him right back home where his mommy calls We get next to each other at about 40 That really is my cars category And I know I have nothing to worry I honk three times and we both get out A car ahead so far is what its about The distance is cut short, and we are not moving instead it feels like I am losing Because I cannot put more than a car I am used to moving faster than a shooting star But thats okay as I take the win And he wants to go at it again The same thing happens twice more Man this sucks, Its really a bore I thank the nice guy and head back home Because I knew I just rocked that cars dome The fight wasnt violent or gory But hey this is just a kid's story Lol enjoy! Gabriel
A little hard to read...but good kill! Being that this is a kids story and all...you forgot the part where this all took place at a track.
Gabe, that was an incredible race poem. Seriously dude. I used to write funny poems (I am the creator of Momo's World of Haiku, on here, BTW), and let me tell you, that rocked! I say it has to be a sticky!
Thanks for the comments everyone! It was just an idea to try and throw up a race story, that had detail and fun in it, and thats what I came up with. I havent written a poem in quite some time, and I had to refamiliarize myself with certain writing tactics, but it was fun, and yes it needs revising, but not bad for a rough draft! Gabriel
