I had it reserved and picked it up yesterday and all I can say is WOW!!!!! For the XBOX 360 it is insane!!!!!! Anyone else pick it up?
No it is not, the XBOX 360 version has downloadable content which other platforms do not, an extra which Microsoft payed extra for.
I was thinking about getting it for my PS3. But, I might have to wait until the price drops a little, or there are some used ones out.... Got my eye on a used copy of COD 4...
Damn it all....the only reason I didn't reserve it was because I thought, for no appearent reason, that it was PS3 only..... Maybe I'm thinking of Gran Turismo.....
I didn't reserve a copy, but was lucky enough to stop by the video store near work just a little after they opened and got one. I've just now gotten into the story/mission mode stuff. Played around a lot online yesterday. Overall it's a lot of fun! I really enjoyed playing around on some of the co-op multiplayer modes. So much to explore! I've even noticed that on the 300C look alike they have those great looking red dodge calipers!
You definately will not be disappointed with COD4... the multiplayer is top notch and the single player is one of the most immersive single players I have ever played.
cod is a freaking great game. love the new maps. gta4 is.......ok. we got it for ps3 but i think i'm going to pick it up for xbox as well. it seems a lot cooler lol
I picked it up at Besty Buy like 20 minutes after the opened. They had a TON of copies! Got my copy for $50! (Price matching FTW!) ITs a great game. So much you can do! So tonight was the first night I really got down and dirty with the multiplayer modes. They did an awesome job on designing those! The GTA race mode is a TON of fun when you do Free Roam mode with a lot of people (8+). Basically everyone starts out in the same area and it's an all out free for all to the finish line in whatever way you can get there. Cops and crooks is a great mode where you are either the cops of the crooks... obviously. You either chase the crooks as the cops, or run from the cops to a waypoint as the crooks. The mafia/car jacking stuff is great also, either in team mode or all for themselves. Seriously probably the most fun and excitment I've had in a multiplayer in a long while. I just rented this one thinking I might not really get into it all that much, but I think it may have turned into a buy for me now.
Local. Nebraska Furniture Mart had it for $49.99 with a $10 gift card.... Best Buy just matched the $49.99. YOU RENTED IT!?!? ITs a must buy. I only have 3 games for the 360 now. GTA IV being one of em. =)
