Here ya go guys, looks like the rear meat is too big - the link seems installed properly and there is a visible rub ring on the inside of the tire - that would explain the noise i hear when i make a hard turn...and so far make this tire the largest 315 out there.. Any body have any ideas on how to resolve this without dumping the tires or the links ?
Ghetto way would be to put a spacer between your hub and your wheel. That would get you the clearance you need.
I am by no means a suspension expert but couldn't you move the bar to the inside of the frame? I would think it would still work fine, but again I am not sure of the suspension issues that might cause.
IMHO get rid of the BWoody links, you don't need them, and if you feel they add suspension stiffness it's probably from the bushing material only being stiffer. For example Prothane verses natural rubber or Nitrile etc. Jeff
Is the photo of the rubbing link/tire on the Passenger side? If so, your link is not installed properly. The Bwoody link goes inside the flange on the passenger's side and outside the flange on the driver's side. The photo you're showing is correct for the driver's side but not for passenger's Bwoody links do not install in the same location as the stock ones. I'm no expert but I have the links and 315 Mich Latitude and still got lots of room to spare near the links Claude
Thanks guys- i'm getting a set of low profile bolts and see if those will work, if not i'll grind it down a little- hey silver yea its the drivers rear but the bridgestone duellers are also the widest 315 out there, i think about 13inches wide ! either that or get some eibach lowering springs when they come out - that would drop the bolt edge and tigthen up the suspension and keep it from rubbing on those hard rights.
