Well come on out as you can see with TAMS 8.17 and my 8.22 SCOTTS the man. I ran an 8.24 the same nite TAM did her 8.17 at 1298 ft altitude, so shes the king of the hill lol. Ill tell SCOTT to give me her tune next time lol. IRWINDALE is at 380 ft + da. I need to lose 124 lbs to get to TAMS race weight or hope shes gains 124 lbs lol.
I like to try different tunes it seems that you guys are running in warmer weather and higher DA with equal or consistant times that is a tune that I would like to try
Wade the race weight has a lot to do with it. My race weight is 5090. In the 1/4 every 10 lbs = 1 hundredth and in the 1/8 its 12 lbs = 1 hundredth. It takes about 1.5 hp to gain 1 hundredth with my weight. The lighter you are the less hp it takes to gain 1 hunderdth.
Ok, first of all, you guys saying it's a "downhill track" is hilarious. No, it's not a downhill track! It just goes up hill after the finish line. And Hal, those are awesome pictures! I thought you guys left!! Jim, my 60 ft times in the 1/4 mile were a consistent 1.8. Thanks for all the compliments guys. Besides all the top dragsters, I was one of the fastest out there of the day, except for that stupid Audi that I raced who was boosting at like 20psi. Oh well. I'm impressed with my car!
Glad I could provide some comic relief lucky we dont have downhill assist on the Jeep otherwise you would have never made it out of the staging area-LOL I'm just pickin at you:ilovesrtc:
The rest of the story Tamara forgot to tell you the rest of the story. Scott at GSM tuned my car and her car last Thursday. Then we went to the track. Our first run was heads up, my '06 300C SRT-8 with 93,000+ miles on her, vs Tamara's Shiny New Black Jeep. I have a few more GSM bolt ons, and my car weighs 4160. First run: Heads up (hoping I don't lose to a girl) our reaction times were about the same. Her 60' was 1.77 mine was 1.90 (AWD rocks) my 8.14 at 88+mph to her 8.17 at 83+mph. MOV = .0501 (damn that was close) then we raced other cars instead of each other. My next run was vs an old school Plymouth drag car. I treed him by 3/10, then his 1.555 60' vs my 1.89 60' and he kicked my butt. His 7.0 1/8 mile time to my 8.075 (my best ever) 3rd run was vs an EVO with the plate "BOOST UP". I cut a better light than him too, but his 1.7 60' and 7.9 1/8, out did my 1.8 60' and 8.085 1/8 (oh well). So Scotts tuning helped me and Tamara run some strong #'s fo sho. BTW: This was my first time running the new Nitto 555 DOT 275/40/20 Drag Radials (at 20 psi) and I was thrilled to run 1.8 60's. And yes, I did have the complete interior in the car, with the hood on (this time). Anyone wanna go to Irwindale this Thursday?
Dan ill be going when TAM goes again as shes going to make a pass in my car and ill do hers to see how much difference her and my body weight makes in each others car as my race weight is 5090 and TAMS is 4966 with 5 gals of gas. I ran that same EVO Dan but i lucked out as my RT.527 his .783, my 60' 1.807 HIS 1.773 my ET 8.246 his ET 7.997 i beat him by .0077 was almost a dead heat
I am very impressed with the tunes and times I see coming from Scott. You guys are running on 91 Octane tune or are these tunes like a high octane tune(93-96) ? Either way congrats and great numbers, Is Scott willing to do a email tune ? I could use mid grade instead of super here in Texas :king:
Jim- I dont want DA numbers but what kind of temps, humidity and Baro are you guys in ? Congrats to all you
That Audi is always out there. Congrats on the 1/4 times.. I will be heading to Sac Raceway next Wednesday after my CMR tune at SVS....
