I left sac raceway after meeting with hal and marvin. Got on to the freeway and what hapens to pull up next to me but a brand new m5 with a younger guy driving. First thought was great I took my bottle out for the drive. then I thought big deal run him any ways. I get in front of him make sure he sees my plate. He comes around the right of me and get right next ot me and grins. 3 honk and we go. from a 65 roll he got me by a inch maybe 2. we raced to 120btw. next race I slowed down to 55. from 55-120 I almost pulled a full car on him. Next race he must have messed up doing somthing because I put 2 cars on him really quick from 50ish. I am glad to know my car can hang with this 100k monsters NA. I wonder what he would have thought If i had my spray.

Not to sound like an idiot here, but how fast are the new M5's...I would've thought a 426 car with all the bolt-ons would be able to beat an M5 pretty soundly.
I believe the new ones are 500hp V-10's and run mid to low 4 second 0-60's. Pretty impressive, but so is the price tag IMO.
Yeah, they (new M5) are 500 crank HP. I would have thought a PPP 426 would have pulled that pretty easy as they are closer to 500 hp at the rear wheels.

no doubt, thats what im laughing at. my old camaro had plates that read SNK ETR when i was living and going to school in corvallis, OR. cobras would always come up and try but fail time and again. not too many vipers up there, but it would have been the same result unless he was HIGHLY modded.
yea the new M5's run 12.3 stock or at lest my buddys does. When I raced from 60 my car didnt down shift but his did thus him getting me by a little . when we both downshifted in to second I yanked on him pretty well. And yes those cars are mostly top end. Bimmer are know for that. I was a little upset I didnt have my bottle. Thats why I am thinking aobut going F/I its always there.
