Heh heh...the sound on spool-up reminds me of one of those turbo whistle toys I had as a kid (and adult, admittedly. LOL).

I like that there are DOZENS of tuning options out there for the HEMI folks. That will probably get the STS systems going in those rides.

If folks want to compare some pricing:
    - Basic twin turbo kits for the Viper vehicles start at about $30,000. That does NOT include internals.

The STS looks pretty damn good now, huh?

How is the discounted pricing going to work? I live in Utah and there are installers here.

Once STS releases the pricing, I'll set up the whole thing, with the introductory price as low as I can to help those who want to order during the initial launch. Pricing won't come out until the kit is ready to hit the market, so stay tuned here for all the details.

The issue with tuning is going to be the same as it is with any forced induction setup on these cars. That problem is that our cars have MAP systems and the sensors are one bar sensors so they can't detect anything above atmospheric pressure (which is boost) so they don't know how much extra air is going into the engine. GM and Ford use MAF which measures the amount of air that flows by and is easier to tune for forced induction. I believe the SRT-4 cars have 3 bar map sensors which allow for boost. Also, our PCMs are not programmed to use 3 bar sensors. It's not just a matter of swapping out a sensor and a tuning parameter for the predator.

Tuning will have to be done carefully. I don't think it matters what kind of forced induction system you use, if you don't tune it VERY carefully you can damage the motor. It doesn't matter if the turbo is in the front or the back or if it's a belt driven blower.

Personally I like the STS kits. It's a nice compromise between performance and fit.

Once again Bro did not mean to tramp all over your thread. However I do have some experience with this product...Yes they sound awesome and they are pretty damn cool fo sho. I have helped on the install of a Corvette z03 I believe it was. Anyway you are correct that failures happen at the weakest point. In the trucks specifically it's the pistons....However 2 engine failures that I know of personally happened with Forged parts and everything beefed up. Please keep in mind even though you spend a lot of cash on Forged internals ect....Does not really mean anything. With this system you need to spend extra cash on a good fuel mgmt system and never run it too lean or else BOOM !

Now this may not be the case for you Hemi guys and I hope that is the case really.....More power to ya  Just keep in mind I did warn you all before hand...If your gonna do it, do it right. Unless you have more money then brains and it don't matter that much  Yes I know some of you Bastages are surprised to see me of all people on a tech thread. It's not that I don't know the stuff...I just know from experiences that Kevan and others have had and I refuse to speak up. Too many know it all's out there :worthy: Ok that's my end of it.....Have fun guys :ilovesrtc:

The bottom line with ANY forced induction is good tuning and fuel management. The same setup will blow one car up and another will run for years and the bottom line isn't the power adder itself, it is the tune or lack thereof. I haven't seen any issues w/ these kits on the Hemi trucks, in fact we have a few guys on other forums that have run them on their Hemi Rams and can't wait to get them on the cars now that they are coming out. As Lisa has said this or any power adder has the capability to blow a stock motor, and anyone who tells you otherwise about any power is simply not telling the truth that goes for any S/C Turbo or Nitrous setup on any car. I have seen people blow engines with every brand of S/C and turbo over the years, and the bottom line is almost always tuning, fuel managment and knowing the limits of your motor. This is the reason some people can blow their motor at 400 RWHP and others are fine running 700 w/ the same setup. Have a plan, know your limits, and build within your plan.

I have another update from STS for you guys. The 1st car was delivered Friday night and the customer drove it back to Texas (STS is in Utah). It was a 5.7L, with a base line dyno of 208hp and 420tq. With twins it made 461hp and 547tq at around 6 psi.

The twins we used on that car are probably capable of 750 hp or so before an upgrade is needed. Of course, the built bottom end would be a must to see that kind of power, but it's an FYI on the hp these STS kits can produce. The 2nd test car is being completed as we speak so it should not be too long.

I am told we might be able to start to sell them in 2 to 4 weeks!!

    Lisa.
