After running at Irwindale and seeing a 1.71- 60'[email protected] I wanted some more. I didnt want to risk damaging my engine so I waited until I could get back on the dyno to check A/F. We verified it is still rich so we leaned her out by three jet numbers and the hp jumped a bit BUT the curve was higher showing it should accelerate faster.........so Thanks Again to Scott at GSM:rofl:.........Hurry up Diablo with the 2008 handheld 500hp is around the corner!!lease:
Jim I expect to see an improvement. I was reading on one of the Jeep sites how they took the B&G tune and gave it to ProMotion who kept emailing them back with blind changes:wacko: and it seemed to make an improvement, but at what eventual risk. Nothing is going to compare performing a tune on a dyno with data log capability. Emailed blind tunes are just that......blind tunes. Optimal performance will be achieved with a CMR or like software, a Dyno and data logger.
Great numbers...What jets(numbers on jets) did you use to lean her out some more...I might need to do this too, thats why I ask(I'm dipping into the 10.2's-10.5's w/ my 100 shot)..Thinking about the 125 shot once the beefed-up bottom end is done...
Chart looks great Steve. Nice even A/F across the board too. That is AWSOME. Come on Scott, get my CMR tuning complete and I will be GOLDEN. hehe Crap, I need to go and order my N2O... XMAS come early. hehe
It's good to see you guys getting along....it's better for the entire community. I look fofward to more of your tests.. :towel::cheers:
nice numbers. i see 11's in your very soon future as well as 500 hp. didnt think you were going with juice. jeeps love juice
Thanks Greg........how did you deal with the traction issue? I tried different launches......activating the switch down the track seems to help.
hopefully we have it fixed from dave at b&g. there was some torque issues with the diablo and b&g. we have an updated flash and cmr tune but with the nasty weather havent had an opertunity to play. the bottles are stored for the winter. we are getting 3.5's consistently 0-60 on the dash hawk n/a so hopefully track results in the spring will be favorable. did your 08 ever have the 2wd issue the others were having?
Seems as though the FJO progressive nitrous controller along with a good cmr tune with AWD...lol seems to be the ticket, let us know if you need help steve we're more than happy to assist, Great number's BTW.
The 06 did it on several occassions with the B&G Stg2. The 08 did it once at Irwindale after installing the B&G. I had lined up with Our Zoo and he "SPANKED" me:mouth:. The problem has been if you turn off or defeat the traction control (in any way at all) HAL the computer gets pissed:furious: and then when you launch your either in a 1 wheel burn out or the engine is struggling to gather momentum and the vehicle seems to be in some mode that wont let it accelerate. This has happened enough that i recognize it and recycle the key and I am ok. It seems that you guys were seeing it long term and in a 2wheel mode?
So your talking a (FJO) "window switch"? Right now I run the Zex solenoid block and TPS switch set at wot. Unfortunately there is no Diablo for the 08 so i have a B&G stg2 nitrous tune. Actually I believe that the B&G nitrous tune with the less aggressive timing might work better all around than the "regular" stg2........but with the CMR all that is a mute point now.
yes the fjo is a progressive switch that lets you turn on the n2o from 0 to 100 % in 12 or 15 increments at different rpm levels. you set it with a lap top and let er rip
