I invite ALL of our valued members and Vendors to participate in this thread.

This is NOT, I repeat, NOT an opportunity to BASH on any particular vendor, or person.

Rather a collective thread for everyone to learn what each other thinks Customer Service should be.

    ALL names WILL be editted!!!

I feel customer service includes what occurs after a sale as well. Very important for me.

It's follow through, it's a passion to serve. It's a committment to make sure that every deal, no matter if it's a simple CAI or entire engine build, is treated like it's important. It's answering the phone, or at least returning a message that was left. It's answering the phone like you love your job, not like I'm interrupting your day when I call. I HATE VENDORS THAT ACT LIKE THEIR GOD WHEN THEY ANSWER THE PHONE AND LIKE I'M BOTHERING THEM. IF YOU DON'T LIKE YOUR CAREER THEN GET THE F OUTTA THERE. BUT WHEN YOU ANSWER THE PHONE, DO IT WITH A FUGGIN SMILE!

It's caring for the customer in a way that makes them feel appreciated, and not like a statistic. It's learning their name, it's schmoozing with them on the phone or in person, and actually caring for them. It's not making excuses, but rather finding answers. It is NOT (contrary to popular belief) having the lowest price, but rather having great knowledge, and providing the best SERVITUDE for that customer. I will pay a few bucks more, for a company or vendor that I feel like really cares for my wellbeing, and takes time to share product information with me, and make sure I understand everything.

It's having a constant drive to find out what you can do to make the public happier tomorrow than you are today. Always looking for the next step. It's not being afraid to make changes with an underperforming staff. Too many people let jerks work for them, because they're too scared to make a change.

It's communication with your customers. When a vendor doesn't communicate with their customers, even if you don't have an answer yet, TELL THEM SOMETHING. We just don't want to feel forgotten about.

I could go on and on and on. But these would be a few things vendors could take note of. And this isn't coming from some jackass who's just venting. I'm actually VERY HAPPY with most of my dealings with most vendors. But rather this comes from a successful business partner of a Fortune 500 company, that has ZERO long term debt. I have also experienced consistent double-digit sales increases for every single year of my eleven year run with this company. And these are but a few of my beliefs. I am incredibly passionate when it comes to impacting other's lives, and everything always comes down to two sets of people. Your employees, and your customers. And when BOTH feel very appreciated, and you deeply care for both, there is nothing you can't accomplish.

    Sorry for the long post.....
    Chase

    This post is 100% correct.

I won't beat the dead horse, but COMMUNICATION is #1 in my book.

Don't be sorry Chase brotha. Well said. I have also spoke with vendors that feel bothered and it turns me right off of them. I too will pay more to have a better buying experience aside from the product itself.

    chase= Bored.
I cant stand when you buy somthing and then they never call you or talk to you again once they have you money.

But most vendors on here are nice. They run their biz in top notch manner. Hell some drive half way across the map just to hang out with us.

Chase hit alot of things that I feel strongly about. Remember folks you get treated the way you treat others. Customer service is almost non existant anymore, most start out strong but fall short in the end once they get comfortable of begin thinking they are a rareity and the consumer is lucky they are around, keep up that attitude and you will not last. My biggest pet peeve is what Chase said, dont make promises or not follow up when you say you are and do not blame being short staffed and overworked you put yourself in that position and not that we do not care its the fact were not only paying for parts were paying for SERVICE as they go together. I'm learning to keep my mouth shut about praising vendors cause it usually comes back to bite me in the ass to where I can no longer defend them I have read and are there at least in support and it will drive me crazy until they post it is all okay. To the vendors you all made a promise to us and the owners just remember we really do appreciate your vendorship here but any of you who begin to show signs of slacking or backsliding be sured you WILL be pulled aside and made aware of it. I may be your friend on here but you start to make promises or make it difficult for me or any member to reach you or hear back from you on products or service you no longer have my respect.

AS THE SAYING GOES 9 OUT OF 10 PEOPLE WILL POST A COMPLAINT ABOUT A BAD EXPERIENCE BEFORE THEY WILL POST A GOOD ONE:eek:k: SOME OF YOU ARE LUCKY THERE ARE SOME 1%ERS OUT THERE

Good customer service is all about bringing customers back. And about sending them away happy...happy enough to pass positive feedback about your business along to others, who may then try the product or service you offer for themselves and in their turn become repeat customers.

This may have been said before, but my idea of customer service is as follows:

Good customer service is all about bringing customers back. And about sending them away happy...happy enough to pass positive feedback about your business along to others, who may then try the product or service you offer for themselves and in their turn become repeat customers.

I think poor customer service is when:
You are put on hold when you call (sometimes 8-10 min)
When it takes two weeks to work something out and then tell me "I'm waiting for them to call me back"

    YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE!!!
