For those of you that have the aFe Stage 2 like I do you already know about the hood rubbing issue. In many LX's the intake tube rubs the hood where the tube curves to meet the throttle body. Good news!! aFe has redsigned the tube with a small flat spot to solve this issue. The new aFe's come with this tube and if you ask AFe nicely they may send you a replacement tube for your current afe;)
Here are some pics of the new tube!

And of course...BMCP carries the all powerful aFe Stage 2!

Good find team!! My Afe, has that distinctive rub mark on it and it's definitely from the hood and not when I was gazing at it up close way back in May 07 lol..

I sent an e-mail along with a pic of the problem. I received a response this afternoon asking for my address and contact number and that AFE will send me a replacement.

    Now that's great customer service.

    Way to go AFE! :thumb2:

I sent an email, told them where I purchased it and recieved my intake with in 4 days of giving them my address. Glad they were able to fix this issue and no questions ask warranty it. Plus the intake looks like a beast.

I just sent them an email too, but I didn't include a proof of purchase or a picture. But I can get either one if need be. Thanks for posting this information Chris.
