Finally got rid of those goodyears and swapped on a set of Nitto's 245/45 and 285/40. They grab a lot better then the good years and look better too. Spent about an hour today riding around on them.
the goodyears where just plain slippery but these grab pretty good. I can still light'em up but I gotta power brake it to get them going.
Those look great. Those were first on my list and then the Vreds came up and are a consideration. Problem with the Vreds is the available sizes. The Nitto's are a lot closer. Did you consider 275/40 as well as the 285/40 for the rear? What made up your mind and what do you think now that they're on?
Man it took me forever to finally settle on these. I wanted to get some BFGs or some dunlops or maybe the INVOs but the final factor was 1 price 2 size availability and 3 I had these on my truck and they've turned about 20K with a good amount of tread left. I liked the look of the car as is but wanted wider in the rear. I wanted a set of 295s but couldn't find a set too match the front that was with in my price range. I didn't see a 275/40 available for the 420s. I didn't want too short of a tire until I do any suspension mods and most of the tires available were too short for my taste. I wanted to go wider on the front but I figured the 245s worked good before and should hold up well. I still plan on getting a set of 22's with some KWs but that might be a year or two away. I've since decorated my driveway with black strips from all the new tires I've got.
love the tires...... think i have seen them somewhere before in those exact sizes!!! hahahahaha awesome choice my man!!!!
You're just always trying to take the credit for everything hugh Chris.... next think you know you'll be claiming the black painted area of the wheels was yours!
I've been itching to see if these rims clear the calipers on the SRT so I tried them on today They don't hit anything, even the spindle clears the tires better then the charger. Boss 329 22x9 with +20 offset
