IN NO WAY AM I BASHING BWOODY...I am well pleased with their product.....Alot of us have been worried about Hydrolocking our Jeeps with the Bwoody lately,so today I checked my Bwoody out...It is evident that I am getting a little water up in the inner fenderwell..BUT with snow up here in Wisconsin you will have that..and I have drove my Jeep as little as possible this winter ...I REALLY THINK in to a WORST CASE SITUATION we would have concern. But it is not worth the chances of it in my opinion...So I started changing things around a little...I am still waiting for paint to dry so I figured I would put some pics up while I was waiting.

Haha nice. You turned your CAI into an HAI.

After checking out my airfilter with a filter sock,I noticed that it was getting wet. There was even dust spots where is had gotten wet...HAI or not better safe then sorry..I cant see there being that much diffrence from placements..and it is a ten min fix to change back if I want to go to the track...But your opinion is always welcome...thanks

I was just givin you a hard time. If I lived in a snow/wet environment I probably wouldnt be running my intake 10 inches off the ground either.

I totally understand I hate the idea of changing it...BUT we had the worst winter up here in years...we actually broke records for snow fall...So the roads are terrible with pot holes .I just feel better knowing it is less of an issue now...Thanks

I have a water shield in front of my filter. And it sits much lower than the Jeeps. ;)

I have never had any issue with water flowing into the CAI.

If I wanna race, the shield is easily accessable (to me anyway).

    Food for thought.

If you guys are running through large puddles of water, this will be an issue, but if it is just a rainy day with wet roads, shouldn't be a concern. IMO

I agree JMatt....But in my case with bad roads riddled with potholes I am not willing to takes anychances...I feel stupid doing this but on the otherhand I would hate have a problem and wish I would have addressed my concern...I acually feel stupid ...I should have bought another CAI that didnt go into lower fenderwell..But I did not realize this till after I purchased it...Still like I said I can change at any time..and when I get more time I may try to fabb something up like you have...You have any pics?

None that would show what it looks like. I would have to completely take the skid plate out to get pictures. Maybe I will do this tomorrow. Right now I am fighting a STUPID Water Heater. lol

I do not blame you for being safe. Nothing stupid about that. lol You are probably smarter than the rest of us. ;)
