So i got into a debate last night about who the greatest movie villain of all time was...here were some of the ones that were argued... MY #1: James Earl Jones - Darth Vader - Star Wars Now I can understand the argument for these others...but to me...Vader is #1... others in no particular order: Anthony Hopkins - Hannibal Lecter - The Silence of the Lambs / Hannibal / Red Dragon Anthony Perkins - Norman Bates - Psycho Jack Nicholson- Nathan R. Jessup - A Few Good Men Michael Wincott - Top Dollar - The Crow Jack Nicholson - The Joker - Batman Robert Englund - Freddy Krueger - A Nightmare on Elm Street series Michael Myers - Halloween Series Gene Hackman - Lex Luthor - Superman series Arnold Schwarzenegger - Terminator - The Terminator series Ian McKellan - Magneto - X-Men Joaquin Phoenix - Commodus - Gladiator So lets hear what ya think...who is your favorite movie villain and why?
This is a tough one. I'll need to give it some thought. BTW Darth Vader credits should go to both James Earl Jones (voice) and David Prowse (body). No, I'm not really that much of a nerd.
How about Pacino in Scarface.....he had whats got to be the best quote in movie history..... What are you lookin' at? You're all a bunch of fuckin' assholes. You know why? You don't have the guts to be what you wanna be. You need people like me. You need people like me so you can point your fuckin' fingers, and say "that's the bad guy." So, what'll that make you? Good? You're not good. You just know how to hide, how to lie. Me, I don't have that problem. Me, I always tell the truth... even when I lie. So say goodnight to the bad guy. Come on. The last time you gonna see a bad guy like this again, let me tell you.
wtf!!!!!! that guy is a turd!!! hahahahahahaha heck, i liked burt better as boss hogg in the movie version!!! hahahahaha
Well if you wanted to get REALLY technical...you could add in Hayden Christensen cause he was also vader...but i picked the one most people know haha rop: the reason he was not mentioned was because not all people see him as a villain...since hes the main character in the movie and a bad guy in general...people dont really classify him as a "villain"...but thats another story if we are gonna talk about that hahaha SUPER shredder! hahahaha...sweeeeet...i was a TMNT fan all the way! hahahaha...he was too dumb to be a good villain hahahaha
I'm a total Vader disciple but have to go with the Terminator, it has your name, it has your number. It's out there 24/7/365 doing nothing but thinking of how to find you and stick a sharp object in your skull. I ain't sleeping too good with that going on...
they are all very close...theres been a lot of great villains...not many lately though... someone suggested either Creedie or Suttler from V for Vendetta...i dont know about top top all time but they were recent good ones...
My favorite movie villain would have to be Christopher Walken. No actor alive, or dead, has portrayed the bad guy more entertainingly than C.W.
Hmm, The Shark in Jaws... the Velociraptors in Jurassic Park (any of them), the Alien in Alien (any of them), Predator in Predator, Verbal Kint aka Kaiser Soze in The Usual Suspects, Khan from Star Trek II, Agent Smith in The Matrix movies, Mr. Blonde in Reservoir Dogs... the list goes on and on... I sometimes root for the villains, especially when the heroes are really really really lame... Oh and I totally dig the James Earl Jones Vader, but HATE and loathe the Hayden Christiansen one, what a chump.. the last movie destroyed any respect/fear I might have had for the Vader character in general...
Jeez...he's been so much fun to watch in so many movies....... A great over-the-top baddy role he played was "Hatcher" in the throwaway 2003 movie The Rundown featuring the Rock. He brings so much to the screen. Oh then he was the Hessian in Sleepy Hollow, then the Batman movie, or the James Bond movie...I don't know. I' tempted to go with the Sleepy Hollow movie, with C.W. as the Headless Horseman, hmmm... no Hatcher was a real baddie. I'll go with the movie The Rundown (even though nobody saw it, HaaHAA) Here's a taste.
well Hayden Christiansen isnt real darth vader haha...I think that a movie needs a really good villain to be good...a really really good villain can make up for the lameo heros haha... we kept our discussion to humans which explains why jaws and stuff werent in there...but i agree that it did rock out...and as i said when the star trek guy came up...i dont know him cause i never saw the star treks I thought the rundown was a good movie...its one of those movies that requires NO thinking at all and sometimes thats good haha
