First post here....... Where is the best place to find rims that fit over our Brembo calipers. Every rim I like doesn't seem to fit. I have my mind set on a 20 or 22 inch rim with a 5 spoke (single or split) design that's has black spokes & a chrome lip. thanks!
Yup, Lou, called Dirty Dog II... Notice they have a rivit detail that (for me anyway) detracts from the "clean look" that the chromies have. And then there are these DUB's that work well too (notice how far out the spokes sit)
Hey we have a new vendor on her that makes wheels check with him http://www.srtconnection.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=127
If you're a HP:Weight freak as I am... I would advise against 22". The extra weight is about a 20whp loss :shok:
Agreed & that's one part of my dilema. Also to everyone else, thanks for the help & especially the pics. I like the Dirty Dog with the black spokes. That's pretty close to what I have in mind. I like a rim I found on spoiledcars.com. It's Merceli M2 Black. (not sure how to post pics on here yet.) Anyone ever heard of Merceli rims before? Are they any good?
Never heard of that before. I'm gonna swap the BOSS 329s on the magnum this weekend to see if they clear the calipers and post some pics http://www.bossmotorsports.com/custom_chrome_wheels.cfm?id=352
Welcome to the "C"... Here is a link to our How-To on posting pics... http://www.srtconnection.com/forums/showthread.php?t=586 As for the 22's, yes you will lose some HP with 22's, but as ling as you get a Forged 22, the weight difference is not that extreme (16lbs heavier total weight for ALL 4 rims and tires), it's the lack of sidewall that kills traction.
Guys I should have some info on this age old question with real world track numbers........... I dare to say I will run at least as fast with the 22" I forged as I do with the stock wheels/Goodyears:shok: The overall weight is EXACTLY the same as the stock setup:deshade:
Nice set up. Looks good. What's the group buy & time line for getting them to me if I go this route? thanks!
