On the freeway. I was in my Jeep and he came up hard and fast. Got right next to me and just kept reving and jerking the car. Seemed as if his car even had an attitude. So we both get to about 60 mph, give it the three honks, and we are off. Did that five times and we are dead even with each other. In every race we got it up to about 115 mph. We get to a portion of the freeway where there is a split, he goes right and I go left and as I glance over at him to give him a thimbs up, he is already giving me the finger and a thumbs down. WTF ???? Shouldn't he be getting the thumbs down? Since my two ton SUV hung with his all american sports car, and at my vehicles weakest point (a freeway run). Is my Jeep supposed to hang with a 03/04' zo6 ? Or is it possible that it wasn't a zo6 and he just put the badges on it to make it look like one ?

That's why I asked if it was possible. I don't wanna take credit for beating a certain car if that wasn't even the case. I know that the 03/04' zo6's only came with 405 hp, but they are still lighter than the Jeep, and on a freeway run I would think he would have the advantage. From a dig, I have raced four different 03/04' zo6's and not one has got me off the line. They caught me pretty quickly because they were modded pretty good. Ahhhh, oh well I guees I will just assume that this guy just had the zo6 badges, but the car was actually a lesser model. As far as my mods go, I only have the predator 91, CAI tune, and 100 shot nitrous, but I didn't have the bottle when I ran the vette.
i ran an 01 or 02 z06 with heads/cam/exhaust and stuck him till the top of 3rd...then he got out about half to 3/4 of a car...
I have a friend who has a '02 Z06 w/Headers, Mid-pipe, cat-back & Intake and I drove it a couple of times and it pulls hard. He traded in his '06 Magnum SRT-8 for it. Here's looking into doing heads and cam this summer on it. I'm looking to run him in the summer at the track once my Stage 3 is installed. He also used to own a Stage 3 SRT-4 before he bought the Magnum.
The C5 Z06 only has 385 HP (dynoed 322 RWHP) so it is no surprise that your highway run was equal. Granted, I don't know what mods you or the vette has, but stock for stock, the vette should win...not by a whole lot, but he should. But like what was stated in the other vette thread, you run what you brung. If he can't drive, he can't drive. I think his blatent display of ass-hattery was uncalled for though...
Hmm Drive skiller, or lack thereof, could also play a big part. If he's not winding it up and he's shifting in the middle of his powerband ... any notable error will put you SRT ahead against a C5. All you gotta do is stand on it and steer I seen barely modded SRT's smoke M5's because the owners weren't used to the shift paddles on the wheel and you could hear them shifting like idiots hehe.
When I just had my nitrous(125) shot and stock motor I raced my buddys aniversry 02 I think it was ( blue with white stripes) I put 2-3 cars on him from 60-120. So if you where spraying I think it was a real one.
Nope. Only mods I have so far are 100 shot Zex, and the Predator 91, CAI tune, but I wasn't spraying that night.
I guy I know (more of an acquaintance) has an 03 Z06. He claims it's bone stock (I can't confirm as of now) but he ran a best of a 12.3 in the 1/4. I couldn't believe he was stock but I did see the time slip which he left in his car.
