milan - place that did it was weld craft out of the michigan (i think). the cost was 250 per wheel. they are put in a jig, cut, and then a ring welded in. the weld work is incredible and i have ZERO issues with truenss of the wheels. they balance perfectly and have next to no run out. 305's are available, but in doing my research, i did not find a lot of choices.
why thanks you anthony.... i kinda like it myself!! lol you want some too big boy?? hahahaha shhhhh....i thought you would not say anything..... momo might get upset.... look again.... i just sent one.... and i think rick is more the man for the job for your last statement....hehehehe i hope its not THAT pic of me and ron........
chase - i actually got mine from brad jones from the district. he had them done by weldcraft...... 250 was the price!! thanks for the reply.....momo was getting anxious for an answer!! hahahaha
I think 10.5 look so meaty on these cars, its almost a must so you can bring out the aggressive look in the rear...I'm running a Staggered 295/30/22...
What's this?????? Chris actually using the multiquote function???? Well I'll be a sunnuvabitch!!!!! Chase
reeeeeeally rick...... i give you a nice, articulate, well written response to your very appropriate question, and the first thing you noticed is the fact i used the multi quote option?????? nice....reeeeeeal nice......rop:
ummm yeah, i can't seem to remember YOU using the multi function lately..... hehehehe when i was looking, i wanted a 245 for the front..... this is what fubar'd things for me. not a lot of choices to find matching tires in 245/45 and 285/95 / 40..... if i would have opted for a 255 front, then there were many. go to any of the big tire chains (discount, tire rack, etc) and you can find a ton of info!
just look at it as "research" for the future....hehehehehehe i told my wife i needed new tires...the widened wheels were just snuck in!! hahahaha
Guys , Tire clearance? opcorn: If you guys look at my post on My ID Wheels I tell and show you how to and looks like front and rear shots. 305-30-20 are 12.5 wide and 315-25-20 are 12.6 wide! I went with the 305's because I wanted more side wall and a 1/8 in you can't see? The TOYO T1R's have a aggressive look to them I think. NO need to cut ANYTHING use a heat gun to move the plastic. Donald
donald - you are correct in reference to fitting the 315 or 305 on YOUR wheels or many of the aftermarket wheel offerings to us. the offset is different. the issue with the fitment of a 295 / 305 / 315 comes when you do a widened STOCK wheel, such as i did. all of the widening takes place negitively into the barrel of the wheel. i had to run 3 mm spacer even with a 285 to keep from rubbing the wheel wells. i tried fitting a 295 / 305 / 315 and all needed some clearence accomodations. as the width went up, so did the amount of clearance. the issue is not so much the width of the rim/tire, but how/where the width is.
I put a 11in wheel on the rear, 4in front lip and a 7in rear lip to come up with clearance for the fender clearance to lower the car and not have the tire setting to far out. I have still 1 to 1 1/2 in. in side clearance LEFT OPEN for a wider wheel 8 to 9 ins. inside lip or 13in wide wheel and not touch the fender I had to move everything IN SIDE to go wider. The KW V-2 rear shock helped by being smaller dia. for clearance. Donald
michael, it will but i have never been a big fan of it...... but it can definately make a difference!!! problem i see, is when it gets that close, just putting one extra person in the car may make it a moot point anyway!!! hahahaha
