I just decided to do a few more datalog runs for Dave at B&G and everything was going well until I got the bright idea of swapping in a bigger nitrous jet to lean it out. Well I put it in and fired it up....pulled out on the road with no cars around and started my datalog....floored and spun the tires all the way into second...kicked straight and felt like the front wheels were off the ground (by this time I am like HOLY $HIT the jeep is flying)....shift to third and BAMMMM....CLUNK CHUUUUU CLUNK CLUNK CLUNK....motor dies and I coast off the road already sweating bullets and my face is on fire:weep:. OMG what happened....go to pop the hood and I am standing in a pool of synthetic fluid with metal chunks...omg....look under the beast and see a massive hole in the pan:weep:. I was sooooo upset and wanted to jump out in front of a car. The only thing I changed was the nitrous jet...WTF...so I pulled it back out and checked it.....I AM AN IDIOT....I was thought I was putting in a .058 nitrous jet but after looking at it closer it was an .085:angry: Thats like a 260 shot or something. I just dont have any more words right now.........
Damn Chris. Well I can feel your pain man. Been there done that.. Look on the bright side, build your motor around your mods now... Sorry you had to endure this...

Ok ok I just had to. I can never let these things draw out very long...lol. I am horrible at it. I have already gotten 4 calls in the last 15 minutes:towel: Rest assured all my engine internals are still where they should be.:rock: Got a dyno appt later.

Yea, you should close the forum for a day next year. Started with Goober's crash. Even knowing it April Fool's day I've bitten on about 3 of these already (for at least a half page). (No, Erik, your's wasn't even believable for a second). This was expecially good since all the details jived. Sounded about right for a 260 shot... Jato ride and lasted to about 3rd. But I figured this one out on my own. "heh... wait a minute... Mr. Bits and Bytes, Test and Measure, makes a HUGE details error... Oh yea, another April Fool's post". Well done though.
