anyone put meth on a techco? if so, where'd you place the nozzle in front of or behind (with solenoid) the throttle blade? any thoughts on the concerns that meth corrodes rotors and are the techco units and specifically, blades, succeptible to/protected from corrosion with their coating?
SDcarguy had water/meth on his. I believe it was plumbed in the cast piece after the throttle body and before the rotors.
correct. we made a plate were the egr port is on the intake tube behing the throttle body. water/meth will not hurt the rotors.
that's where I was thinking. any solenoid on that nozzle to prevent any sucking, or is that not an issue at that location? next ? what size nozzle are you using? thinking some a/n fittings (or brass so they don't get eaten up) to plumb from the wiper reservoir and tap that plate and let 'er rip. Settings for 4 psi and progressive spray as kPa increases?
i would use a solenoid. if i remember correctly we ran a pretty big nozzle on this car, for some reason a 10 comes to mind. we just ran the plumbing that comes in the kit. we started spraying a 2lbs and where spraying max at 5lbs.
http://srtconnection.com/forums/showthread.php?t=14302&highlight=Meth+Injection&page=3 Pages two and three sdcarguy (John) talks about his meth kit. I could swear that John posted pictures and a small write up about his Meth Kit, but I just don't have time to search right now...
thanks for the link. will search his posts. More boost = higher temps and want to buy a little insurance.
thanks sdcarguy for the pms. the solenoid is on its way, getting rest of kit and hoses ready. Will spray it and see what happens. Also, thanks dookie and ron for the belt stuff. Finally got the bigger pulley from SHR (thanks Eddie!) spinning and looking forward to some of dookie's tight and sticky belts. Thinking 12 psi and some meth should make for a nice track tune opportunity.
