It is my sad duty to inform all of you that we have lost another brother from the 2/8 Family. Nicholas Endicott, a coal miner from the hills of West Virginia died due to severe brian trauma from one of the IEDs he encountered on his last tour in Iraq. It took this long for his brain to finally hemorage enough to kill him. Cpl Endicott had been honorably discharged from the Marine Corps for almost a year with out so much as a Purple Heart. And he still died from injuries due to his combat service. Take this as a warning my brothers get checked out. I know there are many of us on these forums who have served in the sandbox and been exposed to many serious situations that we have some how walked away from just as Cpl Endicott had done. I request you honor this great Marine in your own way. All you Marines from Americas Battalion will do it our way. God Speed my Brother and until we meet again in happier times I pray you never leave my memory for this day of days those of you who shed his blood with me shall forever be my brother...We few; We happy few; We Band of Brothers. Sgt. Mark Theis, 2/8 (2001-2005)
dammm that sucks!!!!! its very good to get yourself checked out, over and over, you can never fully find everything wrong with you.
I hate hearing this, it's very sad. Every single military person that serves this great country of ours is a hero in my mind, God bless you all!! :usflag:
i feel the same. its amazing how important you think youre nonsensical shit is then something like this happens and puts it all in perspective.
God Speed to our fallen brothers.... God Bless all of our troops Past, Present and Future! "Freedom is not Free!"
Thank you for sharing this with us Markus, it really allows us to reflect. Prayers go out to Cpl. Endicott and his family. Thank you Markus for your service as well.
The Romans once said that when a hero of the Empire dies, he should not be spoken of softly in his passing, as if in a whisper... but rather his death should be shouted and announced to the masses that a hero of Rome has fallen. So too should your brother in arms receive the same honor. God speed.
