Just got them pulled. This sucks. I can't stop drooling blood and saliva. gross. Can't eat anything, or drink..much. And, to top it off, I didn't even get any time off work, or a decent pain killer. They gave me motrin......fuckin navy cure-all.
did they at least use a clean pair of pliers? hahaha its not too bad...you'll be fine in a day or two
go to the store and get some constant comment teabags. stuff them in over your real molars and youll be right as rain in a few days.
Still trying to cover up the fact your better half caught you in bed with Momo and slapped your teeth out...?
I've got one hell of a dry socket story. 10 years ago (Navy Dentist) I had my wisdom teeth removed. Now picture this....I'm sitting in the dentist's chair and they have to use this little ban saw looking thing to cut my tooth in half. As he's cutting the dentist all of a sudden stops and gets all wide eyed and says "man, I'm really sorry....that's really gonna hurt". I'm like "what?". He says he accidentally sawed my lip in half. At the time I didn't feel it and didn't care. After that I end up getting dry socket from the wisdom teeth. I start popping motrin, tylenol, shooting myself up with Toradol (injectable anti-inflammatory)....nothing is working. I was in PAIN. So I go back over to another dentist and she takes a look and says "how about we give you some 600mg Motrin?!". I look at her and say "do you have ANY idea how bad this hurts?....how about some Goddamn Percocet!!!!" Without pausing she says "OK"
I had mine out years ago...they looked at the xrays and said we need to put you under since they are going to be hard to get out...took all of 15 mins since they came out so fast...Once i woke up i started throwing up partially digested blood(which is black and smells horrible) and ripped my stitches out. I couldnt keep water down let alone pain killers. It only gets better
i dont remember the week after i got my wisdom teeth out, i came to halfway through the procedure and they had to give me another IV of knock out juice. i remember coming out of the haze induced by that about a day later. then i started on the two week supply of viccodin they gave me.
they knocked my ass out as well. all of mine were compacted, they had to cut into my jaw to get em out. pain wasnt that much of an issue thank god, i was on more drugs than i can recall im sure.
I still have all my wisdom and an extra tooth. I have 33 teeth and room for a couple more behind my wisdoms.
I started with two wisdom teeth, one coming in backwards (roots first) and the other growing toward the tooth in front of it. Add to this, whenever I get a sinus infection, it affects my teeth since my sinus cavity sits right on top of my teeth/jaw. And I inherited a teeny spider monkey sized jaw from my mom. I think I have room for MAYBE 24 teeth. Thank god I have retained baby teeth instead of all adult teeth. Did I mention I'm originally from Alabama? Oh and the backwards wisdom tooth required stitches. They just gave me local for it and I clearly remeber my tiny Japanese orthodontic surgeon planting a sneakered foot on the arm of the chair while trying to pull the damn thing out! Every time I have rice I have to put a tooth pick back there to dislodge any grains that get stuck up there.
HAHAHAHA...when the Air Force pulled out my wisdom teeth, it was the day before we got to start playing War in South Georgia. I of course get dry sockets, so here I am sitting in a tent baking in the middle of a south Georgia summer, in full chem gear holding a can tine to my face trying to easy the pain. In between having to mask up and get no relief what so ever, apparently a Major somewhere saw me, and felt so bad I got excused for the rest of the day...didn't help for the next day, but the percocet did a little.
