Ok, maybe its the roadcourse withdrawals, considering its been six months since I was last out on a track and that I'm having to sit out the next Mopar Spring Fling Speed Fest (the one with Superbirds, Daytonas and Cudas, as well as the one at El Toro next weekend), but I think I'm in love with Smart Cars...
I know how you feel, it's only been 5 months here with no racing in PA but it's just around the corner
i just saw one yesterday in alameda. first thing i asked the guy is if it was one of those smart things. he said yes, i proceeded to ask him if hes seen the crash test video....he said he heard of it. haha, crazy old guy running around in one of those with so many retards on the road.
Holy christ!! that lil bugger with a hayabusa engine! That thing must run in the 11's in the 1/4 mile!!!
Those are cute...wonder if I can get 6'5" 280 lbs sack of crap squeezed into that thing...To sit in the Crossfire I had to manuver like a Rubik's cube LOLOL
I know it sounds crazy, but you'll fit. I was in one with well over 6" left in headroom. They're cool cars, but only for inner-city commuting (45 mph or less). Taking one on the highway is a VERY bad idea. They're opening a Smart dealership in Easton (upper-class mall area near us). I'm gonna go circle it for a few hours on opening day. BTW- Look up the Smart-busa smoking the Ferrari (maybe a Lamborghini) at the strip video. Too funny.
June 13th... translation, not soon enough. Little booger's practicing burn outs and power braking constantly. :baby:
Yeah hehehee. I know it T. Or, more accurately, wife knows it lol. I just watch the hands and feet pushin outward and saying get me the f*** out of here!! I think Mona is waaaay ready at this point as well.
I don't know Tam. I'm not against small cars (smaller usually equals less weight and better performance and handling) but ... one of these things?? No thanx. I can see their appeal with gas prices rising but can you seriously imagine driving one of these in the daily commute around here in the Bay Area?? Talk about a death wish, lol!! In Europe yea with their smaller cars and roads but here, I don't think so. Gas may be sky high but we're still livin in the Land of the SUV/Minivan/Full Size Truck and I can't even imagine trying to drive one of these things daily amidst all those behemoths. Even on smaller city streets! The Smart Car's gonna be a hard sell around here and just wait till the first fatality happens, then all hell is gonna break loose. :argue: BUT, far be it for me to disagree with a pregnant women (I got 2 kids, I know) so ... I do see their appeal.
Eh, I'm not talking highways or commutes, just donuts in the parking lot. And I know they're way too expensive to justify that. Flight of fancy stuff I guess.
No, but she does like to wail on my belly button and stomach. Marc's all "is this normal?" Doc said movement is good, its the lack of movement that's bad. Just another three months of abuse. :crying: Mom said when she was carrying me, I was fond of kicking her boobs up at inopportune moments. Here's hoping baby girl isn't as evil as I was.
My daughter would put her foot just under my rib cage and would push or she would just push out yeally hard and make a little bump in my tummy...that hurt...and yes her kicking is very good.....(for her, not u)...lol
I'll take your word for it Tam, my stupid compter here at work won't load up vids (and pix only some of the time). Stupid computer :mad2:
The whole video is of two Smart Cars with Hayabusa engines doing donuts and burnouts. Which is the cause for most of my infatuation.
