A Supercharger is not called a compressor for no reason. The air taken into the cylinder N/A is how much volume the motor can suck in as the piston creates a vacuum traveling down the bore. The Supercharger will force compressed air into the cylinder giving A) more oxygen to burn which is why you need more fuel as well as creating more cylinder pressure.......both of which on their own would make more power. The down side to this is heat which is why we have intercoolers and Meth Injection.
So anyway the Supercharger will increase both Volume and Pressure by forcing more air than the engine can normally take on it's own.
This is why on crazy DA days when the air pressure is very high people call it natures supercharger.

If you don't use the correct verbage no one will be sure what you're saying. We can make pretty good guesses but we won't know for sure and you're going to get confused when other people use different terms. :stars:
errr, ummm, BZZZZT! no cigar. Let's try this for terms.

Cubic inches - space, size of the cylinder displacement, etc.
Flow - How much "space" is moving past a certain point in a certain amount of time. (hope that's right)

    ...and thanks to Adam!

Lbs (weight) - how MUCH air/02 (this gets rid of (or includes actually)) the compression stuff.

So you see where your last bit is a bit ambiguous? If we're talking cubic inches as space then nothing changes. Blower or not. If we're talking lbs of air then it does change.

You have a 6.1L displacement engine. Every 2 revolutions it moves 6.1L of air through the engine. If that 6.1L of air is compressed then there is more oxygen to burn. Unfortunately you can't look at any of the factors in isolation because they're all related.

So now that all that is perfectly clear  do we all agree that (in the context of HP) there is no reason for you and Momo to port and polish your intake or heads when you can just turn up the boost a little on the blower instead?
