The density altitude could be in the +100 range...could this be the last of the really good air for the spring? 1020 barometer with a temp of 50 and dew point around 30. What's the elevation, 700 feet?

    Anyone going to go?

    Eric

    Elevation is 850
I called and they said they DO NOT prep the track on Wednesdays.
They also require a full face helmet. SNELL k98, 2000 or 2005 rating.
    Looks like Muncie for me.

Apparently even the person answering the phone doesn't know the rules.

NO NO NO NO. They do not (nor does the NHRA) require us to wear full face helmets. I've been teched there about 40 times, including 2 days ago. On Tuesdays, they won't even ask to see your helmet. At Saturday's bracket race, they asked what my helmet's rating was. But there's no full face rule.

Unfortunately - the rest is correct: They do not prep the track for street legal drags on Tuesday nights.

    Thanks Matt
The website and the person who answered the phone were both wrong.....just like I thought.

Well, to be fair, SOME classes require full face helmets. But not untill you're going a lot faster than us, or driving a motorcycle, or a roadster, etc. The rule does change, but not until January 2009 or 2010.
