Wow.Im kinda lost for words here.Did I or we do something wrong?More importantly
lets get your car fixed and we can discuss your situation after.Let me know if there is anything I can do..

As for the other release button in question. If I remember correctly it will not work with
the broken park lock out.I do believe that is to get the car in nuetral when the key is off.

Hmm Just read that print out. That other release is for an electrical failure. The pink thing is mechanical

No the BTSI override didn't work, and it seems the spring wasn't even connected to anything anymore ( I managed to get the spring out with a magnet so it wouldn't get lost or jammed up anywhere)

I just remember reading way back when this problem was first discovered that one of the initial guys who had the problem was able to use this release until he got the part. I cannot say for sure that it works or not because I just read that it worked, I did not see it myself.

I have an extra shifter module here at home. I cannot put the shifter into gear without depressing that release. So, I am guessing that it is a mechanical release since there is no electricity hooked to this shifter. If Draggin needs me to tear the pink part out of this unit and send it, I can do that. I am not sure how much that part will cost (can't be much) or how long it could take to get it. This is the part that the SRT engineers said that they have never heard of a failure with in one of their chat sessions. This is about the 10th one of these that I have heard of.

I bought the BT part myself.

Thanks Sam but Im actually still under warrenty so the dealership WILL fix the problem. I just need to get it in gear long enough to either load it on a truck or drive it the 5 miles to the dealership.

Sure did Ron! but it can sometimes be a little difficult to do anything car related with a 2 (almost 3) year old running around all day. By the time she's alseep its to dark out side to do anything. I'll have to try again tomorrow when Im home alone.

If thats the case just remove the pink lock out with a long screw driver.
Please be aware when you do this the not only will work but it will go into gear without the foot on the brake..And i see you have children so be careful..
