No man, never heard of any of those problems but I have some white sh!t in my coolant overflow bottle. It kind of looks like cottage cheese. Anyone ever heard of that one?
You're all a bunch of fucking clowns... pick on the bald retard... yeah, that's hilarious! LMAO... yep, set myself up again!
Holy crap Momo! It just hit me. Did he say "MAIN SEAL"? Cause transmissions don't really have main seals. When some mechanic like the Jiffylube guy says main seal he's talking about THE "main seal" on the rear of the ENGINE... If he said "main seal" that's REALLY bad and you can probably kiss your mod fund good bye for the next 7 to 10 years. Those should last the life of the engine but on rare occassion one of those weights they use to balance the crank shaft falls off and you get excessive vibration. The first external sign you get is the main seal leaks. Unfortunately inside there everything has been reamed out already. Kind of like... well... never mind.
From what I understand, there's an "O RING" on the transmission wiring module that leaks, or as Chrysler says "weeps" fluid. Several vehicles were in for the same problem when I had mine fixed.
Well, it will run strong. There's nothing in the upper end that's effected. It's just the crank, crank bearings, the MAIN SEAL, and the rod bearings don't fair so well either. It'll keep running strong until it explodes (don't worry, since it's the bottom end all the shrapnel goes straight down into the road). It might start making a bit more noise right before the catastrophe.... ... I can't do it... You got a family and they'd probably suffer through the night with you bouncing off the walls and running in and out of the garage wringing your hands... I just wouldn't put a whole lot of stock in what anyone from Jiffylube says. It's very likely that YOU know more about motors and transmissions than everyone in that store put together. oh, yea, I made up all that stuff about what causes a main seal to fail prematurely. There aren't any balance weights stuck on the crank like there are on your wheels
