i was at the track tonite and my friend in a Srt 8 300c could turn his off completely, he pushed the esp botton for 5 sec, and it beeped and its off, ok In my jeep i tryed that. and i didnt work, does it work the same way. what am i doing wrong?? thaks
No the jeep doesnt work the same as the lx cars. When i was bone stock i pulled the abs/pump fuse (pink 30 amp fuse) an it helped me 1 tenth in my 60' times and lowered my et 2 tenths and raised mt mph 2 mph. After i got my CMR tune theres no diff between pulling the fuse or just puching the T/C buttom off.
its still not all the way off....to turn it "all the way off" in an LX you have to do it via the predator.
well... that depends. True that it takes the Predator to turn off ABS. But (on the 05-07 at least) you can completely disable everything else. Push and release: disables straight-line control (you can spin the rear tires) and reduces the intervention point and degree of lateral and steering control. ABS is engaged. Push and hold: disables straight-line control. disables steering control. ABS is engaged. With a tune they reduce torque management. ESC uses the same torque management tables and the side effect is that ESC is reduced a good bit too. On the LXs you don't need more than the Push and release for the strip. The Jeeps are completely different in that they employ significant torque management (part throttle and more) in first gear at WOT to protect the transfer case. Reducing/disabling that with a tune (or the fuse?) will make a significant difference. I think all that is right.
