That I leave Sunny San Diego and head to Norfolk VA. And yes, I'm driving the Neon all the way... It's gonna be times like these I wish I had cruise control.....
Long drive ahead...watch those troopers and be safe....you may not be as lucky as Legmaker was when he got caught doing 130+....:bigwink:
if you come through the ABQ stop by and we'll all have a quick get together. and be careful out there!
Have a great trip Jeff and be safe check in when you can or give someone a call to let us know where you are. Wouldn't picking up 40 in Cali be better and make a straight shot across the US and avoid the dirty south
^ Yeah, I would think 40 is the better route to take. Thats the route I took from soCal to Atl...good luck and be safe.
That is exactly why I asked. It would save Jeff about 5 - 8 hours road time. I am assuming Jeff already hit the road?
Thanks guys, And no, not on the road...yet. Leaving in a couple hours..I was just taking a nap. I'm heading up to SLC first, to drop my dog off at my parents house. Then across using I-80 until Lincoln, NE, then down to the 64/70. I have it all mapquested out  But, on the way back, since I will be heading down south to avoid the snow, ABQ seems like a viable option......
Well if you do roll through ABQ, let me know. You can even rest at my house before continuing on to S.D.
Only if I can take the bad4dr out for a spin  Made it to SLC this morning. Thinking about going to bed.....
*edit* After a little mapquesting....ABQ is directly in my path homeward....I was going to use the southern interstates anyways....basically the 40 all the way home (mostly)....
Have a safe trip and take it easy. Oh and if you stay at Ron's house in ABQ, make sure you get the second bedroom and NOT the office. Unless you want to experience the porn stache...
I drove my neon 8 years ago from New Jersey to sunny Californiw, no cruise control a 1/2 year old baby in the backseat, a bird and plants in the front seat following hubby doing well over 100 MPH And we made it fine...One incident with a truck almost cost me and everything in my car's life, but otherwise it was smooth sailing...so I wish you all the luck and have fun. (oh yeah BTW we went thru "the dirty south" and thru the desert/mountains in well over 100 degree weather...it was July).
