You may want to look at Vredestein's... Plus Moe's can get you a great deal on them... he is a vender on this site...
Moe's has some decent deals. Mol, a vendor here (Show & Performance) might know where to get a good deal as well. Maybe shoot him a PM and see what he can do. Also, CVP33 has figured out a sweet deal using "Bing Cashback" on ebay and getting Proxes 4. It's takes a few minutes to figure out but seems to be worth it. I spent a little time with it and can get a set of four Proxes 4 for $639.40 including shipping. If my memory serves me correctly Chris (CVP33) has found them for around $550.
$640 now. When Bing cashback was 20% you could get 'em for $556. Still kicking myself for not stocking up.
Thanks guys I went with the proxes 4 for longer wear reasons. The vreds are what I wanted but the maggy is my daily family truckster. I picked them up for $800 including mounting, lifetime balance/rotation, road hazard, taxes, and shipping. I think thats a pretty good deal. Next on the list is diablo programer because I hate the way the stock program shifts the trans. I was use to my 6 speed on the SRT10. Thanks again
I got the tires at goodyear gemini store. They look great and drive even better. The RSA really sucked. These guys are great at goodyear. They change my oil for $14.95 of course I bring the oil and filter. They did the same thing for my srt10. If you live in Tampa area these guys are located in St Pete on 9th Street.
RSA's will make nearly any other tire feel like racing tires. Easily the worst tires I've ever skidded down the road on.
I don't know. they're not the best but I believe that Erik could consistently lay down a 1.86 60' on the stock RSA's? (haha, maybe they just work better on Magnums? ...but I don't think so)
That's freaking amazing. I got a 1.87 60' on my 275/40 Toyo's and I thought I'd really done something. To hit 1.86 on RSA's is fan-freakin-tastic!
Erik is a special guy ... but my point was that maybe it's not so much the RSAs completely suck but how you drive them to get their potential out of them.
Agree that Tire-Easy has very good price, but their shipping to the east coast usually axes the deal for me.
At ATCO everybody looks like a pro though. Not saying that Erik is not a good racer because he obviously is, but when you watch racing videos shot out there it sounds like someone is pulling up duct tape when people roll up to the starting line.
I'm creeping up on 40k miles on my P4's... with lotsa tread left... and they still grip like hell. An AMAZING tire.
