My 5.7 Hemi in my 10 challenger r/t 6spd has 1100 miles on it and once the motor warms up it the motor ticks like is has a flat lifter. Car has not had a check engine light nor has the oil light ever come on. Does your motor tick?

Don't some fuel injectors on our engines make a ticking noise at idle?
Is that when you hear it (idle) or also under acceleration?
Does it stop at a certain RPM?

Ron, he said 5.7L, so no squirters.

What you are likely hearing is the infamous "Hemi tick". Google it.
It sounds like lifer sticking or rocker arm tapping. Seems to go away in higher RPMs, but noticeable at idle.

its loudest at idle. Pull up next to a car and it sounds like I have card in teh spokes of my bike.- but it does go away after 2000 rpm.
I am going to try Lucas oil Fuel treatment since its oily and see if it helps quite the valves any... i "google'd" it and some have done that.....

On 5.7's with MDS, the MDS lifters themselves just don't pump up enough at idle. That is what you are hearing. It's normal...

So don't take it to the "stealer" and have them look at it....
